We also got a whole chicken, three pounds of ground pork and two coils of Italian sausage. The total came out to a little over $60. I found T-Meadow while looking for a meat seller that took animal welfare into account. I've never visited the farm myself, but they advertise themselves as "low-impact, natural and sustainable" farming. The website says they raise pigs and chickens on pasture, without antibiotics. The fellow representing the farm at Horsefeathers Market seemed forthcoming and knowledgeable when I had a couple of questions about how the pigs were raised. Ordering was also extremely convenient -- they have an online order form on their website at http://tmeadowfarm.com/order-form/. It's also awesome that they drive the meat into Buffalo -- much easier and more efficient than us having to drive out to a farm 45 minutes away. We're thrilled to have found what appears to be a nice source of meat! The prices aren't low, but they're not unreasonable ($4 a pound for chicken, and $4 for a dozen eggs, for example). Since we don't eat meat often, it's the perfect little splurge for us...

Current price for their house made Italian sausage is $5.99 per pound, which is a steal for the quality of the product. I can usually be in and out within just a few minutes and the staff have always been polite and willing to answer questions or make suggestions. I remember coming here as a kid and I'm so glad to see their business continue to prosper after all these years.

On this day, I found them to be less expensive than TOPS for the same cuts of meat. They stock their sausages and meat sticks in their meat store as well as all the ingredients to make your own sausages at home. They're well known for their butchering service as well as custom bulk orders. I found the facilities to be extremely well stocked with tasty and nutritious foods. On the day that we visited, Falconer Meats was hosting an event called "MEAT US IN THE COUNTRY". Vendors were selling handcrafted items and farm stand produce. There was a BBQ food truck as well as an ice cream food truck. A winery was offering samples! It was an absolute delight to meet the nice folks from llama Adventures at Buffalo Creek, displaying their animals, as well as some of their handcrafted llama fur items. They are well known for their llama events, including birthday parties, weddings, family, reunions, etc..

It ticked those boxes and also delicious slushies (apple cider and grape) just a missed opportunity for delicious pastries (hmm cinnamon donuts!) We thank goodness read Darlene's review about making a reservation and did that the day of around noon and was able to get in at 330! The reservation is made online and the farm is FREE to enter (amazing) but can't be changed or cancelled, however you only need it per carload, so unless you're bringing another car, you can tack on extra folks. We purchased some apples we picked (it was pretty low in the season to pick off the trees) and some that were all set for you in bins, a pumpkin, some cider, a tiny pumpkin and were surprised by the price. Gently it was not as expensive as I thought. Parking was quick and easy on a later Saturday afternoon, with a quick Hi to the Turkeys, some exploring around the pumpkins and picking some apples we had a good time after about an hour and half. I did noticed that it was well organized and lots of folks did disregard the signs: don't feed the Turkeys (grass) and pick up the apples you drop off the tree. There were alot of half eaten, throw apples on the ground which made me kind of sad. Please respect someone's rules and property, it's so nice to be able to come see the farm for free, I hope that doesn't change.

I ended up leaving with a Blade roast, a Beef brisket and a Corned Beef roast from a barrel. Needless to say I'll be back again soon for something else to enjoy making - in 3 days I've already cooked a corned beef dinner and a Chinese Beef Brisket stew with Daikon Radish. The rest of the store is hit or miss, with some things marked way up and other things right where you'd expect them, occasionally a little cheaper. Sales are solid if you check out the flyer. The quality of the meat is the main draw here for me, it is the best spot locally for that. The staff are always nice and they keep the lines moving. I cook with a lot of weird ingredients, so I can't get everything here, but I do prioritize getting my meat and a few other things here.

Last month I used them for catering a work event where they supplied the green salad&dressinh/rolls/potato salad and 12oz strip steaks for 70 people. I work in the construction industry with a bunch of hungry men....No one left hungry from work that day!!! The guys Raved about the quality of the steaks and the price was extremely reasonable. They were flexible about pick up time and had everything ready to go when promised. Definitely check these guys out!!
