Nope, nope, nope! I will not return until covid is nonexistent. Today is the second time I've stopped in on a weekday, in hopes the store would be less crowded. Not only was the store crowded - employees didn't have their masks on properly, and neither did the customers. People drinking, talking on the phone, etc. I did not feel comfortable here what so ever, it's a disgrace that people are still not taking Covid seriously.

Big fan of this place. They have everything a carnivore could ask for. They get busy on weekends and make sure you take a number when you ask in.

This place is amazing!! Definitely super crowded but the line moved fast. When you get in, grab a ticket at the counter to get in line. As a first timer, I was really impressed by the selection of meats and they are priced very fair. I actually will probably get my meat here now vs the grocery stores since you know it's fresh and the price is right. We got beef bones here for soup at a very reasonable price and they even cut it for you the way you want! Great place to pick up bulk meat for the holidays and parties since they do packages. We got a bulk 5lb pack of wings. I'm actually really excited to get my steaks here now since they have crazy cuts like tomahawk and delmonico that you don't see everywhere. The staff here is also super nice and knowledgeable.

Best cut of kobe ny strip steak I've ever had. Melted in my mouth like butter mmmm! I cooked up some butter garlic mushrooms and shrimp scampi to put over it. Phenomenal! Nice staff and great cuts of meat!

This is your classic butcher shop with all the trimmings! Take a ticket and be called upon for some of the freshest meat and products Pittsburgh has to offer. I was almost overwhelmed by the selection of crazy, exotic meats like ostrich or alligator! They of course have all of your favs like ground chuck and house made sausages. Delmonico steaks and other sides of beef and pork are available by request. You can also call ahead and they will have your order ready for you. If you are tired of supermarket meats, squash that beef and head to Strip District Meats.

Always a great experience! This place is my number one go to for exotic meats. This particular time I got bison for a chili cook off. I was even recommended to try camel as well. I appreciated the customer service, time and patients of the staff here. Even though it was very busy this afternoon, I was treated like the only customer in that moment. Thank you strip district meats.

I haven't tried everything offered here. You'd understand if you stepped inside and looked around. The store front is split into two different sides. The main store is on the right, this has all the meats. On the left is the assorted frozen foods. Upon entering the main store, immediately turn left and grab a number from the dispensing reel. This place can get busy and that's your number. On your first visit, you may just want to stroll around and read the chalkboards that line the walls. This is one long isle with meat displayed on both sides. There are many exotic meats that are available. (Such as ostrich, llama, kangaroo, and rattlesnake.) On top of that there are can be several different forms of the meat as well. The staff is friendly and helpful so you can find the cuts your looking for. The other side has items like pierogi, pizza rolls, and fish sticks. I can't comment on this side of the store because I haven't tried it out yet.

They have it all with knowledgable staff. Fair price with larger cuts which hard to come by in town.

I got the steak frites which was absolutely incredible, cooked to perfection and so tasty. My boyfriend got the filet mignon and subbed mashed potatoes instead of balsamic potatoes. We also got a side of mac & cheese which came with cheeto crumbs on top (so good). I can't say enough good things about this menu! I thought that for the quality of the food it was reasonably priced. It's pretty dark in there, so they have those little green shaded lamps at the bar. I went with the Cardamadre, because it has pineapple and absinthe and sounded interesting. Definitely glad I chose that - it was fruity, but not overly sweet, with some bitterness from the absinthe and spices. I also had an order of fries, which were shoestring cut and came with a garlic aioli. They were a good snack before the show, and while $9 for fries is steep for fast casual, was not bad for a solo diner at a seated restaurant.

My favorite thing about Dave's is their willingness to cut a smaller portion for roasts and also if there is not a cut on display they offer to get what you request. The freezer wrapping is just the finishing touch on the reason Dave's shines when compared to other stores in the area. I ate one lunch here. The exterior of the restaurant could be updated, but the interior looks stylish and clean. An employee promptly greeted me, seated me in a booth, and took my order. As of the time of this review, their website says that they offer 50% off grilled fish on Mondays, and the day was Monday, so I asked the waitress about the price and size of the fish. She did not speak much English, and she nodded and then walked away before I could finish ordering. But that is OK, because the serving size for the grilled fish was huge and enough for me. The Classic Spicy Grilled Fish was brought in a large tray to my booth. I am not sure of the type of fish, but it and its accompanying vegetables tasted delicious. White rice was on the side. Later, I ordered fried sticky rice cake with brown sugar and dipping sauce. They reminded me of donuts with a chewy inside, and I liked them very much. The total price for these two menu items was $30 plus a tip. I do recommend PF BBQ House. I think that this restaurant deserves more reviews and customers.
