The food is just as bad as the place is nothing like eating your food with hair on your plate. The fried fish fillets were absolutely perfect and crispy. The drinks were great. I got the Kentucky mules and though not of their normal offering they were done well. Excellent place. Only one other person ordering food, and he was sitting at the bar. Two employees. Waitress came over. Dining companion wanted a Bloody Mary. Waitress, we don't have those here! Ice teas then. We start looking at the menu and the weekend specials. Bloody Mary is on the specials menu! When she comes back to bring our beverages and take our food order, we tell her, "you might want to cross the drink special off!" She's asks why, we tell her. She just shrugged. Didn't say let me check, I could be wrong. Nothing. We order. I want the Clams Casino. We are out. Are you sure? Yes. I order the fish and chips. One Reuben. Food comes. Fish looked liked frozen, deep fried tenders. Fries were hot. Coleslaw tasteless. So disappointing. Reuben was just an average deli sandwich, nothing special, nothing wrong. Mid. Waitress never came back to give us tea refills and we never got the lemon we asked for. Best part of this experience was the hot, crispy fries. The waitress, even though pleasant she wasn't on top of her game. We literally were her only table and it's not like she was running back and forth to the other side. The bar/pub side wasn't open yet. We will return to drink, all of the bartenders are good. It has a friendly, welcoming vibe in the evening. The restaurant and food. I'll pass.

The Eagle Hotel is one of those places that does exactly what it should and does it well…read more While it's now owned by the Funk family (who have several restaurants in the area), the Eagle has stayed true to its roots. The menu hasn't been overcomplicated or reinvented, and that's honestly part of the charm. If you've been coming here for years, it still feels like the Eagle. We came with a group of eight, ordered food and drinks across the table, and everything came out impressively fast. Drinks were quick, food followed right behind, and nothing felt rushed or sloppy. The wings are a standout. They still do wing nights, and you can tell they take them seriously. They use Bell & Evans wings, which are locally sourced and it shows in the quality. We had the sweet heat bone-in wings, which were perfectly cooked with great flavor, and Thee FEHO boneless wings, which were also excellent. We also ordered the flying eagle fries hand-cut fries topped with cheese, bacon, and barbecue sauce. Comfort food done right. You can choose from hand-cut, curly, or extra crispy fries, which is always appreciated. The space itself is small but comfortable classic small town bar vibes with exposed brick, a cozy dining room in the back, and a relaxed bar area up front. It's not fancy, and it's not trying to be. It's just a good place to hang out, have a few drinks, eat solid food, and actually enjoy yourself. Overall, this is a dependable, low key spot with good food, fast service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We've been here many times before and will absolutely keep coming back. It's a staple for a reason.
