I…read morehad the pleasure of working with both Lily and Kwame--both of whom were incredibly helpful and kind throughout the entire process. On move-in day, I was even greeted with a box of local bagels, which was such a thoughtful touch (especially since I had forgotten to eat!). The community here has been warm and welcoming. My daughter and I have already made friends and connected with some great neighbors. The complex truly feels more like resort living than your typical apartment, which is such a bonus--who wouldn't want that? The pool is fantastic, and I love that there's a lifeguard on duty at all times. I also have to shout out the maintenance team--when I had a minor issue, it was handled quickly and efficiently. All in all, it's been a great start, and I'm so happy to be here.

I was interested in renting at Modera Berkeley Heights and was ready to move within a month. I…read moreemailed the leasing office to inquire about pricing. Kwame Chapman responded but absolutely refused to provide any indication about pricing. So I asked again about pricing and again she refused to disclose any pricing. This went on back and forth numerous times. So I finally asked for the phone number for the leasing office so I could get pricing and Kwame ceased responding all together. Kwame's email signature very unprofessionally does not include a phone number because she clearly does not want to bothered with phone calls. Any other apartment is transparent in their pricing and post pricing right on their website. Here at Modera, there is no pricing on their website and inquiring with Kwame Chapman yields no results. Hence apartment not rented! If Modera is this unhelpful in leasing an apartment to new tenants, I can't imagine how they treat existing tenants.

We could not be more pleased after working with Rudy Daunno to find our dream home! From the moment…read morewe met Rudy, he truly listened to exactly what we were looking for, then formulated a strategy to help us the perfect living situation. He really got to know our personalities, and was so in-synch in knowing what we would and wouldn't like. Rudy was always so accessible as well. He would always answer texts, calls and emails; no matter what the questions was. He also got to know our families, who often accompanied us on our house-hunt, and really made them feel welcome. I think what sets Rudy above the rest is his knowledge of not only real estate, but of home construction and building as well. Because of his business, he has knowledge of both buying and building houses. So he was able to give us reliable advice on things like heat, gas, foundation, roofing, plumbing, flooring, and electrical, etc. In addition - he knows the area well that he could provide guidance and advice on neighborhoods and discuss school districts, recreation, etc. And he always has recommendations for people he works with to assist with home repair and other things that new homeowners need. All in all, we felt so comfortable with Rudy and would highly recommend him to anyone. He really made us feel at ease during the house-hunt process, and now we are in our dream home!

I am specifically reviewing Patricia Ollom at Weichert, Realtors…read more Moving to the area from California, I chose Trish because of the previous Yelp! review. First, my wife and I spoke to Trish by phone extensively from California, letting her know our needs and checking generally for mutual chemistry. The match-up felt good and, upon arrival, Trish did what she told us she would do: she took us on a full afternoon's driving tour of the five townships that we were searching for a rental house. During that visit, and over the course of another, Trish showed us many relevant homes for rent. Soon we found the place we ultimately rented when she took us into a home that hadn't yet been put on the market but was represented by a realtor friend of hers. Trish represented us strongly during the negotiation of the lease and while ironing out the various kinks that came up during our move-in. We now will have Trish represent us in our search for a home to purchase during the coming year. In summary, Trish is a friendly and empathetic professional with 20 years' worth of inside knowledge of Summit, New Jersey, and the surrounding towns. She has also shown herself to be hard-working, conscientious, and supportive. Not much more we could ask for!

Barbara stated that she has clients that are "looking for exactly what our house offers" and that we are right in the price range they are looking at as well. When I proceeded to tell Barbara that our home is for sale by owner, and we are paying buyers brokers a 2% commission, she immediately reverted and said "Well, I only work for 2.5% commission, so I just won't tell my clients about your house". WOW. And I always thought that realtors should put their clients best interest first, not their commission . WARNING to anyone looking for a realtor- Barbara Lewis clearly does NOT put her clients first and I would highly recommend you look elsewhere for a professional real estate agent.
