Then you get upstairs and are greatest by a huge variety of fitness equipment. Wether you are looking for weight training machines or cardio equipment, they have it all! They also offer tons of classes that are included in your monthly membership, so you can try out things like Hot Yoga, Cardio Kickboxing, spinning and so much more. I also like the fact that in one of the studio rooms they have a projector screen that comes down and they have a system that allows you to choose from about 100 prerecorded classes that will now play on the projector so you can take any class you want at your convenience. Top all that off with beautiful decor, fully stocked showers, a sauna, heated tile floors and vanity mirrors that include hair dryers and all sorts of creams, and you have a really nice experience, both during and after your workout. I have noticed a real improvement in my overall mood, my energy, stamina and in my waistline. I love woman's fitness clubs of Canada, and I would highly recommend it to any woman out there looking to get healthy in a positive, welcoming environment.

Also they have amazing aerobics class ranging from boot camp, muscle mix to cardio, yoga and Pilates class. The gym is not huge however you never have to wait for the machines. There are separate personal training classes you can book. I've been coming here for a few years and still loving it. The instructors are amazing and work out along with you and are so motivating. When you think you're going to die in the workout class the instructor pushes you to do another 5 sets and you have no choice but to do it. In the end your body thanks you! The staffs are also so friendly. I would highly recommend this this gym. Also the memberships are very affordable. They can match your corporate rate and also offer part time rates. Great gym to just come and work out.

To anyone who was a member of Fitness One in Appleby Mall Burlington:…read moreThe gym is now CLOSED with no notice except a sign in the window indicating they haven't been paying the rent. I went to workout today and to my great suprise found the sign. I immediately tried to contact the head office and found it extremely difficult to find a contact number so I started calling the only Fitness One I knew that might still be open in Mississauga. I was told the Fitness One database had been sold to Premier Fitness in Burlington on Fairview and that they had taken over the membrships. I contacted them and was told it was true but they would NOT honour my membership at its current price I would have to pay more. I immediately asked for my membership to be terminated and in order to do that I had to bring my membership card into the fairview location and sign cancellation papers. So I did, and yes you guessed it the fees are still being charged to my visa. I was told on the phone once I signed the papers it would officially cancel my membership and automatic fees to my visa. BTW: I didn't sign any papers only the representative did so why did I have to go there??? Just another excuse to keep ripping clients off!!! I left Premier years ago as they were a horrible gym that ripped off their clients, trying to cancel a membership was just unbelieveable so I'm very skeptical that this problem is resolved. I would suggest to anyone who is in this situation report your credit card as stolen and stop them in their thieving tracks. Visa will not help you if you tell them what's happened as they are on the side of the crooks and NOT the cardholder - totally disgusting! No wonder our society has gotten the message that's it better to lie and cheat than do the right thing and be socially responsible.

When I arrived the kids class was just finishing up and since another location was closed for easter weekend, the Saturday class was relatively large. We all did introductions and started with some group stretches. We played some dodgeball, then did the actual workout. The coaches and members of Tidal CrossFit Bronte are all amazing!!! As an outsider, they were inviting and when we had to partner up, someone immediately asked me if I would like to work with them. Even during the workout (which lasted almost 30min) the coaches were paying attention to form and were encouraging people by name. The amazing part were they could coordinate and organize the workout despite the number of people that were there. The facility it self is HUGE, clean, and well organized. I have been to many CrossFit's around the US and this was one of my favorites. If you live in the local area or are even visiting, make sure to check our Tidal CrossFit Bronte!!!

In fact, Sahaja Yoga offers meditation classes you can drop in to all over the Greater Toronto Area and all over the world, always for free. I have been practicing this simple, easy to follow method of "thoughtless awareness" or "mental silence" for 5 years and can affirm that it is the healthiest, most transformative thing I have ever discovered in my life. You can sit in a chair or on the floor, and there is always an introduction, guided meditation. Music, film, Q & A, and a scientific approach starring you as the scientist. Unlike other meditations, Sahaja Yoga helps one to achieve the experience of Yoga or Union, through a self-realization process which happens very early on, sometimes the very first class! At first I felt very welcomed and relaxed and somehow trusted that this was finally the correct information. After feeling a physical coolness on my hands at my third class, I started to feel that this wonderful energy was healing me from the inside, out and have felt more and more content and happy every day since. This simple, authentic, meditation practice has evolved my personality to a whole new level. I am able to use simple techniques to cope with life's dramas. I have heard so many share their wonderful experiences, it is too positive and life changing to ignore. Sahaja Yoga Free meditation classes are the best thing that have ever happened to me. Anyone who would like a free program to visit their place of work or school can contact them at www.free-meditation.ca or www.freemeditation.com. I love that no matter what everyone's background or culture, everyone feels like they have found a home here. Wednesday free classes are currently held at the Brant Hills Community Centre in Burlington 7-8pm for beginners, 8-9 for advanced classes. If there are many newcomers, the first hour is extended to explore our "higher self" even more. No skills or previous experience required, and no physical poses. Just sit in a chair or a mat, bring some wooly socks as we take our shoes off, and enjoy the new awareness that helps one to thrive. Learn how to clear your chakras (energy wheels in the body), and many healing techniques. The people who are in the classes are wonderful. I, like so many that attend, have discovered inner peace that permeates my entire day. On fridays, Oakville's Glen Abbey Community Centre has a free meditation class at 7pm for 1 hour which is also hosted by Sahaja Yoga. It is better to "experience" the "yoga" through attending a class to fully understand and develop the vibratory awareness which is just the beginning of a wonderful path to get to know one's higher self.

You can tell a good instructor by the flow of the class. If you are feeling a lot of stops and starts, and confusion moving from position to position... then this means you're probably with a less experienced instructor. There are soooo many great instructors at this location that it's tough to find a favourite. Pro; Instructors take a personal interest in your progress and take the time to remember who you are. The environment is peaceful and welcoming... exactly like a yoga studio should be. You can always find close parking its located in a major plaza. Con; This studio is not the cheapest place in town. The washrooms and the lobby area seem to be rather small when attendance is high. Some of the instructors are phenomenal and this leads to overcrowding in the classes. Recommendation; They offer a 30 day trial for $40.00! Besides the small areas in the facility and the overcrowding which only occurs with popular class times and curtain instructors, I haven't found a better Yoga studio and I won't ever look further. Try it out!

The owners are fantastic and have a lovely family and children who all participate and work while creating a nice flow and humble feeling to this studio. For those new to any yoga studio, this particular group of students respect each other in the class room by being silent and walking in without making noise or causing disturbance to class. They also leave after shavasana in the most silence and appreciate the sanctuary. I love all the instructors. Thomas Haller is wonderful and provides a unique class at 9:45am Sundays. Samantha H is a very spiritual and motivating instructor with a modern take on life! Her flow class will reconstruct your body with out even knowing it! Effortless yoga with the soothing feeling of loving yourself is how I can reflect upon her class! Brock Wilson is the country boy who creates the nature and cool music in his class. Justin Trachery an old soul in a young frame is a powerhouse for music and body sculpting thru breath and great postures.... Debbie N is soothing and like a mother healing energy with a series of postures that make your mind strong and body fit, Greg K is the mindfulness nutritionist and show a great class, Peter Southhill is the newest member and creates the back to basics postures more recognized! Kate is lovely and often practices before reaching and is a dedicated instructor ... Joy R holds a late class at 8pm which I still need to take and j can go on and share my love for this fantastic place. 7 years of enjoying this affordable loving studio. Thank you!
