After completing the "free" first time workout studio manager Dennice offered me a discounted rate for healthcare professionals -- the low rate was the deciding factor in joining that day. Four days later, I was told the rate "didn't exist" and would not be honored. After escalating to the regional manager Andre, I was promised a $50 credit on my first month as a resolution. The credit was never applied. I've reached out to Dennice to correct the charge, and it remains unresolved. Being promised one rate, then charged another, and not receiving an agreed-upon adjustment is unacceptable. At this point I cannot recommend this studio.

Update: Spoke with management and they said they will speak with their staff member, I don't want…read moreanyone to feel unwelcome in an establishment they're working on theirselves in, hopefully the staff receives training in interpersonal skills. My experience at this Planet Fitness today was completely unacceptable. I asked a staff member named Trey to turn on one of the stations. He told me he had to do it, not customers. Moments later, I watched another customer walk in and turn on the exact same type of machine themselves with no issue. That means I was either lied to or treated differently for no valid reason. When I pointed out which machine I was referring to, Trey responded by saying he didn't have to answer my question and then told me I "don't have to be here" to receive services even though I'm a paying member. I then requested to speak with another staff member, and he refused, claiming he was the manager and I had no one else to speak to. This level of disrespect, inconsistency, and unprofessional conduct is not something I've ever experienced in a gym environment. No paying member should be talked down to, dismissed, or given false information. This situation needs to be addressed so other members don't go through the same thing.

As we were talking to her, she would walk away and "drink" her water OR EAT her snacks like she is too busy for us. Even saying hi and thank yous, she would ignore you! I'm extremely upset of her act today. And customer service should NEVER be like this EVER. We gave it another chance as we said our good byes for the night. And of course she would ignore us like she doesn't hear us heading out. But thank god the guy tonight was kind and ended our night with a positive note. "Have a great night guys"

I registered for the class a few days before on their website and the website said that my registration was successful. But not only did the website give the wrong location so that I was late for the class, but when I got there the staff were very fake and the older blonde woman behind the counter told me that I was not registered and then further embarrassed me in front of the staff, my friend, and all the prefect princesses walking in asking me "do you have a camera on your phone, "sweetie"" when asking me to scan a QR code for the class in a VERY condescending tone and she didn't look me in the eye. Of course I have a camera on my brand new iPhone. Who even asks that??? Needless to say I decided right then that I would not be going back ever again. I was so upset and downtrodden and embarrassed I just told my friend that I was going to leave because I didn't want to be treated like a poor, dumb, undesirable and embarrassed and singled out even more. It was obvious that they thought I DIDN'T belong there as soon as I walked in. I don't want to be that girl but in this case I would, unfortunately, advise anyone who is NOT WHITE or dressed entirely in Lulu Lemon to stay away from this place if you don't want to be talked down to and shoved out the door. There are much better, more compassionate practices where they will definitely not make you feel like some underprivileged charity case who they are required to tolerate.

The community of instructors is so supportive and encouraging. I had never had a good relationship with exercise in my life but Barre3 changed that for me. I'm a dude and so I'm pretty wary of super female oriented anything. So this place was s total…read moresurprise. I thought I would walk in to a place that sold yoga pants and pushed ideology like "Get your Pilates Body!!!" and "this one's a good cellulite killer". But to my complete shock, this was mainly all about movement education. Now, let me clear about that: It can be a VERY hard workout. It can also be about prepping your muscles and unwinding stupid patterns I've gotten myself into so that I can do what used to come easily for me. Let me give you my best example out of MANY: I started having MAJOR lower back pain. Out of the blue. It went on for several weeks. And so I went in and told my instructor and she did a deliberately slow and thoughtful analysis of my movement, when things irritated me, when movement soothed me. And she finally said, "There's basically nothing wrong with your back. But your hips are SUPER tight." And I was like, "What's that got to do with my back?" (I didn't vocalize this) And so she gave me a bunch homework and movement I was required to do at home. Let me pause here to say, I'm a 32 year old dude, with no injuries or weight problems or limitations in my mobility. IF you saw me, you would think I was healthy and in shape. Now, after a week of this homework for my hips, my back started to feel less strain. Then after two to three weeks, I only felt the pain in the mornings. Then after a month, it was completely gone. Then I stopped doing the homework . . . and guess what . . . it all came back. So, take that for what it's worth. I've lost 10 lbs and I'm also constantly realizing how much more fluidly I live my life. Bending down to pick up a shoe used to be a stretch for me. Not anymore. Neck and shoulder pain plagued me in my early 20's when I sat at a computer desk all day. That's been gone for over a year now. I feel younger and more agile than I did 10 years ago. And I can see it in other people that they are not taking any time to maintain and repattern their movements as they get into their 30's --- so I expect to see a lot of my friends getting surgery when they honestly just need to be moving with the gifted instructors at this studio.
