Locally, in the Port Saint Lucie area where we live, both Planet Fitness and LA Fitness gyms honor Silvers Sneakers. We use both gyms on an ongoing basis. We find Planet Fitness has many excellent up-to-date cardio machines. PF also has a complete assortment of the "Nautilus style" machines for our more modest weight-training needs. The PF gym is kept clean and well-cared for. The employees are pleasant and professional. They keep the gym spotless. There are ample paper towel and bottles of cleaning spray stations well-located throughout the facility. There is ample parking. We go at different times on different days. The attendees range from seniors like us to younger men and women pursuing more aggressive training objectives, some using free weights. We highly recommend the Planet Fitness on Midway Ave in Ft. Pierce. PS-During the summer, we just spent two months in Hendersonville, NC in a campground with our RV. The Planet Fitness gym there was equally well-staffed and well-equipped.

Things were a lot different than, like I didn't have to pay for a heart monitor. Nowadays they want you to spend $100 for a heart monitor just to see your results come up on the TV screen. They also have over priced work out clothes that they jacked up the price because they put their name on it. When I first went to Orangetheory it was over 10 years ago and now living in Port St. Lucie you don't have that many options. My girlfriend persuade me to get a membership with her and we can go together. I was very dedicated in going and ended up doing unlimited membership for $168. I was going an average of 14 times a month and did become a bit frustrated when I didn't see any results. I do appreciate the trainers and I think they're amazing. If you have any questions or need help, they would definitely do their best. After a few months of killing myself, I needed a break. I really wanted a month off. It is kind of confusing because when I called they tell me I need to come in and then when I'm there I was told that I don't need to come in to confirm any changes. The communication is a bit off. To skip one month you have to pay a $15 fee which is extremely irritating, because I spent so much money with them. I kept going back-and-forth If I should just cancel my membership and after that annoying fee, I just flat out told them that I wanted to cancel. Another irritating factor is that you can't just cancel you have to pay for another month. Because there's nothing more irritating, after being done with some thing then for somebody to force you to pay another month. Because you didn't get enough of my money, you have to know take more. During this time, I hurt my hand and was in a lot of pain to where I couldn't even lift up a cup of water. I called to let them know if I can put my membership on hold due to my injury, which would've been the last month of my cancellation and they told me that to avoid a $15 fee I would have to go to a doctor and get a doctors note. I didn't realize I was a child who had to get permission from a doctor to avoid a fee. Just another company sucking you dry with all their irritating fees. So, if all of these irritating factors about this company, doesn't bother you, sure I would recommend them to you. I have learned my lesson for the second time not to go and sign up for this gym. This is the only gym I've ever signed up for where I have to pay so many fees and it's pretty ridiculous. I think these owners needs to get off their high horse and actually give a damn about somebody but yourself.

She was persistent getting orders from my Doctor and authorization from my insurance. Both made her job difficult, but she suceeded. I can't thank Justin S, Justin G, Marisa, Megan and Kendrick, enough. My husbands is getting up and down better and he is walking better. My balance is so much better. I am having less MS hug pain, foot pain and ankle pain. I learned some great stretches. More than anything, they helped me get my confidence back.
