My cousin took BETTER and way more shots than he did. We met with the owner of the company who showed us pictures and asked about what we were looking for in a wedding photographer. We were also told we would have 2 photographers numerous times over email and phone. WELL, WE NEVER GOT THE 2 PHOTOGRAPHERS IN WRITING ON OUR CONTRACT SO WE COULDN'T USE THAT AS A REASON FOR A REFUND. BIZARRE THAT THEIR EMPLOYEES EMAILS DON'T MEAN ANYTHING. Our photographer was awful. While he did get a few good shots, we thought we would get a professional that would handle the photography for the day. We had 10 hours of him asking us what pictures we wanted. Um, isn't that what we are paying you for? And if someone looks out of place, aren't you supposed to make the picture look better? I was more than thorough telling our photographer what we wanted in writing and that day. He missed so many shots and we also have 1 picture of important things, such as my husband and his parents. Really?! How hard would it have been to take 2 shots of that?! And although we took staged shots with our families, I assumed he would have taken some candids later. Funny that there are hardly any pictures once we got to the reception! I have a few friends that used Modern Image and their pictures were great! And they had thousands of images compared to our less than 800! I guess I figured Modern Image Studios admitted they should have put us with a different photographer and had another photographer there to assist. Yet, with it being our wedding day, they couldn't do much I have to say that they did try to make up for the awful wedding pictures by giving us discounts on pictures, etc. We said no because we didn't need more pictures--we wanted pictures of our wedding day! After months of tears and back and forth fighting with Modern Image Studios, they finally gave us a small refund. Overall, I wish I would have spent three times as much money to deal with a reputatble photographer. I should not have had to spend my wedding day instructing an amateur on what to take and then being upset getting back less than stellar photos. I love getting a good deal but this was not worth it. *One thing that really annoyed me about this company was that they put out sign-in sheets on the tables for people to sign-up for our pictures when they were available. This is pretty trashy to me and I did not want my pictures shared with everyone. **I used a videographer from this company and that turned out fantastic. The videographer captured so much of our wedding day so it even made it more obvious that the photographer was out of it. This is the only reason they get 2 stars in my book!

There are a variety of different packages and all of the important parts from the ceremony and reception were captured beautifully. We watched our wedding video (~2 hours) and our 5-minute highlight real video and to say it is a work of art is an understatement. The videos are provided with a cute photo on the front with our names and the date of our wedding like a real movie. There are very cool drone shots of the venue for the beginning and end of the videos which were so cool to see the venue from that angle. The sound and cameras were not in the way of the big day as we could barely tell they were there. We also got the raw footage on a USB file for a small additional charge, which was a great offering to have to be able to see outtakes and catch some conversations. Even the day before the wedding, Bea called to reconfirm the locations and times for filming on the day of the wedding which was really great and a nice personal touch to put our minds at ease during such a hectic time. On the day of our wedding, they arrived on time and did an awesome job of capturing all the right moments while remaining unnoticeable in the background (which we really appreciated as we are not used to being recorded). They captured personal interviews and well wishes from our friends and family which was a heartwarming surprise when we watched our video. The full video was provided on time and we were extremely happy with how everything turned out. We also received a highlight video as part of our package which captured the best parts of the day. This also turned out fantastic and was great to share with our family and friends without having them watch the full video. My now-wife, Zakira Duff and I got engaged in September 2019 and started planning our wedding soon after. We eventually settled on June 13, 2020 and one of Zakira's friends, Ryan, recommended S7MP as a great photography/videography team, and we contracted with them in early January 2020. We were very impressed with the quality of their work, how they seemed to shoot more diverse couples than other studios we looked at, and offered more competitive pricing compared to other studios of equivalent quality. The complimentary engagement photo shoot that was included in the wedding package was also attractive. Both Zakira's and I's grandmothers passed away before our wedding and we wanted to include a special tribute to them by blowing up pictures of each of us with our grandmother, with them in a faded 'ghost' form. We asked the S7MP team if this would be a feasible project for them, and anticipated having to pay extra, but Victor readily agreed to take the project on, free of charge, and we would just have to pay for the blow-ups later on. This gesture was extremely appreciated, and his work was excellent, and inclusive of touch-ups. However, COVID occurred, and we tried re-scheduling our wedding to late August 2020 at first, for which S7MP flexed with us at no charge, and then we pushed to July 17, 2021, and luckily that date worked for the S7MP team too. In the lead-up to the wedding, Mina, was on point with getting us prepared, and figuring out a date for our engagement shoot. My wife and I live in TX, and travel to Chicago was not the easiest to fit in our schedules, so we were able to get our engagement shoot in 2 days before our wedding. Everything was so hectic in that week, and my wife was close to cancelling the engagement shoot, but we are both very glad we did not do that. It was great to meet Victor, Mina, and Joseph and develop rapport before the wedding, and the quality of their work stood out immediately at our shoot in Lincoln Park. Joe and Victor got super creative and artistic shots of us, and the lighting was perfect. They were amongst the best photos Zakira and I have taken in the 5.5 years we've been together. Besides their work, they were pleasant and punctual to work with, good people all around, and we felt super comfortable during our shoot, in the hands of true professionals. Their team also worked fast to get us our pictures delivered within 24 hours, in time before our wedding, and Victor also put together a 60 second video teaser of us within a day, absolutely beautiful work that we were able to share with our guests in a final pre-wedding email. The day of our wedding their team was prompt, arriving even 15 minutes ahead of an 8 hour schedule (thankfully, since we were rushing around the whole day), and took great shots of me in the groom suite, and then moved up to the bridal suite. We then rushed over to take wedding party shoots at a nearby park none of us had been to, and the S7MP team quickly adapted to the environment and arranged a first look with Zakira and I, and then a bunch of excellent wedding party and bride/groom shots. The ceremony start time was approaching, and Ubers/Lyfts were unreliable in the city, and Mina was super helpful in ordering an Uber for the bridal party so we would make it on time. During the wedding, their team was super engaged and worked efficiently throughout the ceremony and reception, with Joe making sure to get pictures of each table, and positioning the bride/groom with as many family members as was reasonable. The blown-up grandmother portraits were prominently displayed on easels during the wedding and many of our guests appreciated them, with tears in eyes. Our guests remarked that the S7MP team were nice people and fit in well with our group, and had interesting conversations. Zakira and I couldn't have asked for anything more. We felt our event was captured from every angle, and we went home smiling, a truly beautiful day!
