However this stop is just one stop outside the Vienna City area, which means you need to by another transport ticket to travel this one stop, which for me is a not worth spending 2.20 Euro to go one stop. Lucky for me this cost is covered by my IKEA Family card, so i do not need to pay it, but for other people they have this extra cost to get here. I would actually like to see an additional stop an other 300 meters down the line, to give faster access to the Multiplex part of SCS shopping City.

DO NOT USE NEXTBIKE! I was in Vienna this Christmas and…read morewanted to try Nextbike. My wife and I wanted to do the Wachau trip (Melk to Krems) by bike and signed up before even going to Vienna. We called from Vienna one early morning to reserve bikes in Melk and got both a personal talk with a representative and an email confirmation that we reserved two bikes. Only problem was that when we arrived by train later (the train ride alone was 1 hour 15 minutes) in Melk there was no bikes. There was a bike stand with a sign saying "Winterpause". So Nextbike was on Winterpause. We called Nextbike again and talked to the same lady that we made the reservation with in the morning. She kept saying she was the only person in the office and the mantra was "I can't help you". Not one time did she say she was sorry. My wife and I paid 68€ for train tickets and had a day ruined due to Nextbike. I can only recommend NOT TO USE Nextbike if you plans are important to you. Also don't expect Nextbike in Austria or Germany to speak English when you are in a difficult situation. The language barrier is quite big. I got a call from the main office today (many days after writing a complaint), the office is located in Germany, but the women I spoke to could not do anything for us she said. She did offer some free bikes next time we wanted to use the service, but I think that is laughable as I won't visit Germany or Austria any time soon. Also how can I count on a reservation? If they really cared to give us free bikes for a day, they could have done so while we were still in Vienna (they had a few days to do that). VERY NOT RECOMMENDED!

OEBB and the majories renovated lots of train stations…read more This one is one of the rare ones that are a big success. Easily accessable for handicapped and older people, mothers with children by two elevators from both sides and straight paths that are not THAT steep! The best of all is that the original construction substance was kept, meaning a brick building and only some glass and metal parts. The roof of the brick building is also kept, meaning that this provides much better protection against icy, stormy winter weather compared to the newly-renovated other stations were the wind blows right into the direction of the waiting passengers. The metal seats are still a problem, because not enough sitting possibilites and metal means cold in winter hot in summer and - the rust pretty easy and that results in higher maintenance costs than the wooden benches that have been there before!!! The metal-glass construction of the waiting area opposite to the brick building at the other platform offers also better protection than at other stations. The toilets are FREE!!! - not very clean, though. The waiting room is warm, lots of green and wood and lots of wooden benches and it is not closed like at so many other stations, where people are freezing in winter!!!! The photos in the waiting room show the HISTORY OF THE TRAIN STATION which is really really GREAT!!!! This is one of the best train stations in Austria!!!! Hats off!!!!
