This was an incredibly moving experience for me. My area of study in graduate school for international relations focused on human rights, so I obviously already have a deep connection and thus am biased, but I think this is something every civilized human can appreciate. The monument itself is beautiful, both aesthetically and geometrically. I loved the inclusion of so many different languages which were fun to read in some instances or attempt to in others. Most importantly though, I love the celebration of the Idea. Do yourself a favor. Don't just walk through quickly taking pictures. Have a copy of the full UN version in whatever your native tongue, and really marinate on these beautiful, if for now idealistic, sentiments and bathe in the beauty. So incredible. read more
