This is my experience and mine alone. That of other customers may differ…read more A while ago I had my extensions done here, several times, by a lady named Rachael (Rachel?). Whilst the salon itself, and quality of her work, cannot be faulted, her interpersonal skills WITH ME (NOT others) were horrendous. First of all, she was half an hour late for our first appointment, for which she didn't apologize or even offer an explanation. Secondly she was consistently rude towards me. I have a disability, in addition to social anxiety, which I told her about from the outset; she honed in on these things and kept making fun of me for them (this was even confirmed afterwards by a friend who attended one of the appointments with me; as expected, Rachael (sp?) was all smiles with my friend). Rachael (sp?) even went so far as to blame me for her "getting in trouble" for booking an appointment with me. I watched her interact with colleagues and other customers, with whom she was the picture of amicability. When I confronted her about this (after our final appointment) she said I deserved [to be bullied] because I was "weak". I only returned in the first place because, at that time, I wasn't aware of any other decent hair extensionists in the area. Given the choice I absolutely wouldn't have, on account of this particular stylist. It's a shame that a decent salon, and skilled work even by the person in question, can be devalued because of certain people's attitude. I don't know if Rachael (sp?) still works with Alter Ego, but if she doesn't I would consider giving the place a chance again.
