Met my cousin and his family here on their recommendation. Thought we had missed it. Just kept driving and seeing very few cars. Then we arrived and there were all the cars! There appear to be two parts of Strawberry Hill. One a fresh market with local fruits and veggies on south side of road. The other a homestyle restaurant with traditional choices and an ice cream parlor with delicious ice creams. The six of us were seated right away and brought menus. We ordered two single hot dog plates with chili & coleslaw & tots, one grilled chicken salad, two hamburger steak plates with corn & green beans, and a pulled pork sandwich made with vinegar (East Carolina) sauce & coleslaw & onion rings. Our food came quickly and was enjoyed by all. My 94 year old aunt cleaned her plate! I really enjoyed my BBQ - just the way I remember it! There was some discussion about their famous peach cobbler, but our party split. The four girls piled in one car and headed for casino nearby. My cousin and I went to his house to watch old Cowboy movies. Later we met back up to head to home or hotel. My wife was deliberately slow. After everyone had left, she said "Let's go try the peach cobbler!" We did, warmed up and with a scoop of butter pecan ice cream. It was sooo wonderful! I had to fight for a couple bites!! Great food and ice cream, great service, homey feel. There are probably a dozen or more rocking chairs under the covered front, probably to accommodate people waiting on a date night table.

    Best strawberry milkshake in SC

Breakfast at this place is not really what I was expecting, the special peach pancake was really a pancake with peaches cut up in pieces on top and peaches were not even ripe. My 5 star review stands for the Strawberry milk shake but that is about it. Loaded hash browns were greasy I had a Coffee milk shake and it didn't taste like coffee at all, maybe it is made with artificial flavors. Wife had the peach homemade ice cream and she said it really didn't taste anything like peach ice cream. Service is good, they keep coming to the table to remove all empty plates as soon as you are done, also the order was taken promptly

Definitely an overrated experience, not worth the haul from Greer. Yes, you are supporting local families and farmers, but if you have farms close to you, don't bother with the drive for this one. The restaurant was packed and you are sitting in the middle of the line to get ice cream. Very uncomfortable. The scoops of ice cream are way too big, and melt the minute you walk outside to enjoy it. I tried one of their homemade flavors and it was just ok. While I appreciate a large serving for a good price, I ended up unable to eat most of it.

pie and ice cream: peach cheesecake, strawberry cheesecake

This must be the best ice cream in South Carolina. I've had that sentence sitting here for over a week until I could finish my review, but I still remember the taste of the strawberry ice cream. Ever eaten a strawberry? It's that, but frozen. That is a mandatory flavor (strawberry or the strawberry cheesecake that I had, if you happen to like cheesecake, which you do). Then I saw that pie slices were $1.50, which feels like 1987 all over again. So I got pie. The pie is good. Get pie and ice cream here. And, I guess, go shop around and pick out all sorts of other cool local stuff, and maybe eat an actual meal here. (I stopped here because they had exactly one sign on Highway 11 saying "homemade ice cream ahead". Just the right amount of advertising. They know what they're doing.)

Love the selections that they have every time I go. You won't regret the trip here. The blackberries are out of this world and you have to stop and get ice cream across the street before you leave! The staff is super friendly and there's a cute cafe you can sit in as well.

I love visiting the peach/strawberry shed on one side of the road and then crossing over to the restaurant for homemade ice cream. I haven't eaten a meal in the restaurant- just Ice cream. They use in season fruit grown on site for their ice cream. This summer they added peach and strawberry soft serve to their already hand dipped flavors. The peach soft serve was very good. I also took home a bag of peaches for a homemade cobbler.

What a neat Find!! We decided to take a ride today and we like taking different ways back home. We ate Dinner not far away and decided to head this way home. A bit of a different route for us. We seen signs that said Strawberry USA. As we passed by I seen a few cars there and it looked like a huge restaurant. Well my husband asked if I wanted him to turn around. Why not!! It was decorated cute out front for fall. When I looked inside most of the place was closed down all the chairs on the tables so I thought we were too late. As we walked inside there were people sitting and having ice cream and the sign said they were serving ice cream till 7 so we made it! I had 6:37pm :) The girl at the counter was very sweet. I was undecided what flavor I wanted. She asked if I wanted to try them first. She started with my husband he got the peach ice cream. He was going to get 2 scoops but she went to put more and he said wow! She let him know this was the one scoop!! Amazing! I opted to go with one scoop in a cup. I actually got 2 different flavors. Since one scoop is like 2! I got black cherry and a raspberry. The black cherry had huge pieces of black cherries! The raspberry had pieces of dark chocolate through out, like mini chocolate cups like a ressee miniature cup. Very good!! All homemade. Not too sweet. And thank goodness we got one scoop it was plenty!! She was very good with customers. They were getting the place ready to close or I would have asked more questions about the place. We would for sure go back sometime especially since I read they have a farmers market here as well? The big produce stand is across the street so not sure if they have more here too certain days. (They also had a sign for a corn maze in front before you walked in, if it was not raining we probably would have done! We seen it was across the street near the produce stand so maybe all tied together se company)

We drove a little off the beaten path to come to this place on trip back home. It was about 10 miles off the interstate, but what can I say-- we wanted peaches. When we arrived we noticed on one side of the road you have the ginormous fresh produce market and on the other is a diner/ice cream shop. We stopped at the market first. They had a variety of tomatoes, peaches, corn, and strawberries. They also have fresh honey and jams. After that, we drove across the street for some lunch. We got cheeseburgers and hotdogs. The food was good and the service was also pretty good. We also got some ice cream before we left and that was my favorite part. It's a MUST! We had a great visit. I'd love to visit again one day!

That is totally reasonable so we made the truck over. When we arrived however, I thought we were in the wrong place. It has an industrial feel, not a farmers market feel, and there were no markets going on outside. As a matter of fact, the only market was indoor with about a dozen or so stalls. We were disappointed, but I wanted to check it out so my husband remained in the vehicle with our dog. I looked at every market stall inside and I was in and out in about 5 minutes. Having produce doesn't make something a farmers market. It just felt like walking around local grocery store. About a third of the vendors were fruits and vegetables and the rest were knick-knacks and t-shirts and miscellaneous items. Also, it was incredibly empty. I mean I understand why. I did find a new cider to try but knowing what I know now, I would most likely not make the drive again. I realize I'm not from the area, but this was no different than any local grocery stores to me.

So again as we are rolling up 85 my husband constantly reads aloud several advertisements about the Peaches that we never stop to get on our many weekend getaways to Atlanta. So he does and since our toddler was asleep I stayed in the car. He came out all excited and said let's switch and he sit in the car while I go Taste and so I did. We both liked the Peach cider with No Sugar added.
