A Punjabi friend of mine, ordered an indian take away a couple of years ago from Bombay Balti, which at the time was new to me. And ever since, whenever I Fancy an indian takeaway I don't think twice but to order from Bombay Balti for the following reasons; - Fantastic Vegetarian dishes on menu, which is important as I have a lot of vegetarian friends -Food ALWAYS arrives hot -They are honest with you about the waiting time -The Food tastes the same as when I first became acquainted with them back in 2012,which show continuity - which is noticed when you move away and come back for visits... -the Staff are polite, helpful and remember you. -the menu is flexible for example I Love matter Paneer, but I prefer it with chickpeas instead of garden peas, and these little allowances they make, prove for customer satisfaction! In addition to the above, their bread selection is good, nice big naans which are made in a clay oven, good sized parathas which are made with ghee for that classic parathah flavour. Simply put; if you want a curry in Bath, order a takeaway from Bombay Balti, you will not be disappointed!

I have to admit it - I do enjoy a visit to Nando's. As Nando's' in general go, this one isn't bad, but it's certainly not the best I've visited. The staff are friendly enough and there are usually plenty of space at the tables if you visit with a large group. I have had to wait to be seated for quite a while on a few occasions, even when having booked ahead, but that's no different from plenty of other restaurants, I suppose. There are plenty of other branches with a bit more individuality, but this one's okay if you're in the area.

There's a warm welcome from the chef, Peter Vaughan, who then takes you downstairs to a small but well designed area of tables that is simply but nicely decorated and it all feels very cosy. It looks a bit like a cafe, but the food is leaps and bounds ahead of many restaurants I've been to in recent memory. There's real attention to detail here, and a massive effort to make you feel welcome and informed about the food. But it's not intrusive, and nobody comes to check whether the food is alright immediately after you've got it, which we took as a sign of confidence that they knew they were sending out decent grub. So, amazing parsnip and cinnamon soup, brilliant fish of the day (caught that morning in Penzance and cooked in white wine), and an array of fabulous vegetables. To be honest, it's exactly what a restaurant should be like - good food, good service, minimal fuss. But as far as I can tell, so rarely achievable for so many places (the previous evening we were disappointed on so many levels by a place in Manchester that cost twice as much). I believe they also do a cookery school and speciality nights. On the way out we asked if they might be interested in moving to Manchester. Sadly it was a no. Boooooo.

Fair enough, I've been once and that was just after Christmas, but this place was amazing. The…read morestaff were lovely and super friendly, they cooked us up some dinner really quickly (and it was late and we were starving) and the food was actually better than most take aways I've had in Leeds. Why? It's the effort and extra touches -- we didn't just get a tub of fried rice with a few slices of meat on, we got a huge tub with all kinds of lovely veggies, meats, and extra sauce, which is almost unheard of. We didn't just get curry with some chicken, prawns and peas, we got -- again -- a range of veggies, meats and such. The chips were delicious too, although I'm partial to Chinese style chips. To top it off, they were really friendly and clearly cared about their business and their customers. It really was one of the best special curry, special fried rice, and chips orders I've made -- and this has been my staple at Chinese takeaways since I was eating at Golden Wall back when I was a kid. Give 'em a go. I think they're ace.
