My business partner and I have hired Jodi Strang Adams to represent us in a Miami real estate closing. Jodi Strang Adams was, by far, the most unprofessional attorney I've ever encountered in any transaction. In my opinion, she was EXTREMELY abrasive, dishonest with finances, emotionally unstable, and downright incompetent. She managed to turn a simple real estate closing into a nightmare for all parties involved. We filed a detailed complaint against her (including printouts of her emails to us) with the Florida Bar and truly hope she gets disbarred. Until then, we highly urge you to avoid her. She might charge less than other attorneys, but there's a good reason for it.
But ultimately, I would like to THANK Jodi for giving my business partner and I a very valuable lesson on how NOT to behave in a professional setting. You can argue about someone's intelligence and laziness all day long, but the thing that really stands out for Jodi is what we deemed to be a very fragile mental state; from bashing her paying clients to opposing counsel during the representation, through interpreting innocent and reasonable emails we send her to be "abusive", to talking extremely negatively of her clients (again - paying clients) online in an effort to discredit their valid critic of her. I strongly believe this woman's online conduct towards us post the transaction is turning her from an unprofessional attorney to an unstable person. I wouldn't even trust her with asking her what time it is, let alone with escrow funds or legal documents. Luckily for everyone, she's so flippant that she acts publicly the same way she acts behind closed doors, which is great for allowing potential clients to decide for themselves whether or not to hire her.
To give you yet another idea of what Jodi's integrity and stability is like: I posted a review for Jodi on Avvo (a legal review website), to which she responded in a way I've never seen a practicing attorney talk to a past client before (see attached photo). Afterward, I received an email from an Avvo supervisor saying JODI HAS CONTACTED THEM CLAIMING SHE WAS NEVER MY ATTORNEY AND THEREFORE ASKING THEM TO REMOVE MY REVIEW OF HER. In response, I sent them extensive evidence (such as public records) showing she obviously was our attorney. Other than being extremely funny, because her response to my review made it clear she had represented me, it's a whole new level of dishonesty and additional grounds for disbarment. Also, I really do want her to sue me for leaving her an online review, as she threatens to do, because I truly can't wait to present this to a Florida judge who can see for themselves who they're dealing with. DO YOURSELF A HUGE FAVOR and stay away from this woman at all cost for so long as she's still allowed to practice law. read more
