We stayed in a well-designed, modern, spacious villa/studio with a Queen bed, kitchenette, lounge room and modern bathroom. The grounds and pool/BBQ/laundry facilities are well maintained and clean. The Parkhurst Tavern, located in a shopping centre 2 km south of the motel, is a good option for dinner. This is a good value option for a stay in Rockhampton if you have your own wheels.

When I arrived the staff were very kind and made sure that I had all I needed and provided milk, bread and cereal for breakfast too. The area is very quiet and the bed very comfortable. The room also had a tv and wifi and cable tv were free. A great place to stay. The only downside is the walls are a bit thin my room had an adjoining room. A big thanks to the staff for great service. I would definitely stay here again.

Three out of five stars!…read more I stayed here recently when I was in town on business. We booked at the last minute and it was all that was available for our price range. I did not have high hopes. But it turns out that my fears were unfounded. The room is really clean and looks like it was decorated not too long ago. I can attest to the fact that the fire alarm works as my friend accidentally set it off while we were there. And there is a gym available (I did not go myself) and lots of parking. It is across the road from the river, so it is in quite a good location. Overall it was a pleasant place to stay and I would stay again

After lucking out with other accommodation options, I stumbled upon Riverside Tourist Park, and was pleasantly surprised. Boasting clean facilities in a tidy surrounds, this caravan park is perfect for the budget concious traveller. The grounds front onto the mighty Fitzroy River, with views of the city and some brilliant sunsets over the water. Plenty of shady trees and some local animal life make this a relaxing spot which is located away from the city bustle. A pleasant stay and accommodating hosts made me feel right at home. I would definitely stay again when passing through Rocky.
