The repair work they did on his car was excellent. Fast forward to this August and now I have my daughter's car (Toyota Highlander) in Fort Collins and we have just completed an inspection of the car. A shout out to the service writers. Marty saw us initially Wed. at 8:00 and we realized with my appointment at a glass shop, that the inspection couldn't be completed in a timely manner. He then proceeded to work us in the next day. Brendan was the service writer that took us in for our Thurs. appointment and after inspection, explained everything that was recommended based on the mileage of the car. Being just enough of a gearhead to get me in trouble but know what is needed and what is not, I was very impressed with the quality and thoroughness of the inspection. I never felt pressured to buy any parts, products, or services. I cannot speak highly enough of the service I received. Brendan and Marty were very friendly, engaging, and professional. I also got a ride back to the place where I was staying and the driver (Kevin) was very easy to talk with. Just like an uber driver. I trust my daughter's car will be in good hands. repair order 67731

After their service it appeared the oil pan plug was leaking oil. Took it back. They said it was the plug gasket. Also said the oil pan gasket was leaking. Now it has a constant drip from the plug. NOT GOING BACK I had…read morework done at this (Fort Collins, CO) location before, so when I needed my air conditioning fixed they were one of the first places I called. I wanted to price check, so I also called Breaks Plus. To both places I thoroughly explained what was going on. Breaks Plus told me that from my description, I would need to get a $99 diagnostics before they could tell me what was going on. BG Automotive told me, "just bring it in, we don't charge anything to just take a look at it!". "And we will never charge you for work without your approval." I thought, wow this is amazing, no fees to find out what is going on! I showed up for my appointment and retold the guy checking me in what was going on with the airconditioner and a few other small things I wanted done. He said, "ok, let me give you the estimate". I was so confused, how could he give an estimate if we didn't know what was wrong. Then he says, "for today it would be $327 dollars". I was in shock! I asked what that was for, he proceeds to tell me almost $200 of that was for a diagnostic on the air conditioner! "Blah blah, here is why we have to take a deeper look...." I tell him what was told to me on the phone. He says, "oh yes, that is what we have to say to people. It IS free for us to JUST LOOK at your vehicle. But I know my guy is going to tell me it needs a diagnostic run." I was so upset, I asked if I could step out for a second. This was almost double the price that Breaks Plus had HONESTLY UPFRONT told me it would need. After I cleared my head I walked back in and said, I'm going somewhere else". I will not be going back and I would not recommend.

BEWARE! I have had my jeep for 12 years and while I have had some problems, it has been pretty…read morereliable. That was until I brought it to On the Side. I brought it there less than 3 months ago to have them check out the whole car to see if there were any issues. They, of course, found some issues and charged me about $2000 to fix them (ball joints, tie rods, spark plugs etc.) This was after they were supposed to have fully checked the car. I had them do all their recommended fixes, which included fixing issues with the radiator that they said were needed. Well, that is where the issues started! About 1.5 weeks later, my clutch fails without any warning. My clutch has been fully reliable and solid up to that point, no signs of wearing out. So I go back and pay them about $1500 to fix that issue. Or course, maybe a coincidence that they did not find it during their checks. The car also had some issues with the gear going into reverse that were not fixed by the clutch replacement (they claimed they did not even find it after fixing the clutch), and their response was "well, that's just a jeep". (This was their first point not standing behind their repairs). A few weeks later I go to have the oil changed and they tell me that my car is a couple quarts low on oil. Shouldn't they found this on their review of the car? (I would think so, but when I brought this up with Angelo, he said "well, we didn't check the oil".) I brought it in for a full review and they did not check the oil!?! They had done almost $3500 of work including a work-up of the car and did not EVER check the oil? OK, I let that one go too, and then a some weeks later the radiator fails - cracks and fails completely! They had just worked on the radiator and did not see any issue that would lead to a total failure? And when I brought it to them, their answer was "radiators fail all the time... when it rains, it pours". Really? Maybe it should be better stated, when you bring your car to On the Side Automotive it pours. That was the last straw. I have had good and bad mechanics in the past. Good mechanics stand behind their work and never seem to generate new issues on the car after they work on it. Bad mechanics never stand behind their work and seem to, as if by magic, generate consistent repairs on a car. Angelo seems like a nice enough guy, but based on my experience, I would not trust him with an oil change unless you want a major repair in the near future. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I feel a lot of shame...
