So far so good with J&M logging we'll see how this fall goes. OMG! Marks wife Lori Ok, fall is over. Into winter. I'm sitting here misty eyed as James and Mark are driving away having finished our project. I looked at my wife and I said what is wrong with me, why am I emotional? Fantastic in every way. From tremendous customer service to the exceptional communication right down to the physical work on the property. I wanted a 4"x 8' hemlock piece of wood. I had forgot to mention that it was 1" thick. He was rude and said out loud, "Hahaha, she doesn't even know what she wants." I literally just finished measuring my project and I had a lot of numbers in my head. N.C. Hunt would have said, "Ok, how thick is the wood?" Simple as that. The man at Gilpatrick made me feel stupid. I'm not a stupid person. The older man went on bragging how his hemlock are all the same size and that N.C. Hunt not once had the same size piece of hemlock. When I received my 11 pieces of hemlock ALL of them where different sizes AND one end on a piece looked like an "L".... If you're going to brag that your shit don't stink, make sure it really doesn't stink. If you like smart ass grumpy old men, then this is your place. If you like to save money and want excellent customer service: N.C. Hunt is your place. Would I go back: Gosh, I hope not.... (they literally are 1min down the street from my place).

The owner was only half interested in my concerns; and at the end of the 20 minute consultation/lecture, I still had to re-explain the job to 3 separate workers. Some of whom seemed very distracted from the work. My lawn was filled with holes and only a few of my flower beds were untouched. When I began to ask about the crew's plan to fix the pits in my lawn, I was met with more ambiguity and downtalking about how 'it's just part of the work'. I'm not a fool, I have seen more legitimate businesses preform and behave in a more professional way. Everyone I ask seems to have a 50/50 take on Benner's Tree Service, but I wholly recommend any other of the number of tree services in the Mid-Coast area.
