Polis I contacted Polis Handyman at the recommendation of a…read moreneighbor the morning of October 19,2022, after a fire caused by a shorted out heating pad in a plastic dog house on our deck. Fortunately, the Scott County Fire Department responded quickly and extinguished the fire just before flames reached the attic. The next day, Sam Richardson came out to examine the damage and make a repair estimate. He returned on the 24th with the estimate met with the insurance adjuster. This meeting resulted in a more thorough and complete repair estimate and insurance settlement. On the 26th, a Polis team came out and sealed the window, which had blown out during the fire. This action was extremely important for us considering the sub-freezing temperatures at the time. Sam scheduled repairs to begin on a 10-day time frame beginning on November 28th. Polis teams completed repairs and clean up on schedule, in spite of cold temperatures and outside work. I feel very fortunate to have contracted Polis. The photos are an indication of the quality of their work. Polis is a family-owned business. Sam quickly assessed our needs and reacted quickly to complete repairs. I highly recommend this business. Sam Richardson has considerable experience in home repair and construction. His employees are very competent and committed to timely-job completion.
