We were staying in the hotel and it was very convenient. The front desk checked if we needed a reservation when we arrived. This was my favorite meal of the trip. I decided to get the scallop black pudding appetizer with the langoustine main. The scallop app was phenomenal, and the garlic butter langoustine were excellent. The langoustine meat was delicate - tails were sliced open and I took awhile to crack open the claws to get most of the meat out. The elderflower cocktail was refreshing. I had been debating about having langoustine and scallop dishes for app or main. The waitress said the langoustine app has 3, main has 6. Scallop app and main both have 3 scallops, but main has fish also. Great service overall. The restaurant was full and the larger parties really take their time here. I went with the 2 course - mussels to start and the white fish of the day (haddock). Unfortunately, they didn't have oysters or I would have gotten those too! The 2 course was more than enough food for 1 person, so I'm pleasantly full even though I didn't finish my plates. Service was attentive. Just make sure to book a resy as early as you can!
