DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Went through my credit card company for a tow service, so I did not know anything before dealing with this company. First I got a text message saying that the wait would be about two hours. I am currently sitting on the side of a very dangerous road and my boyfriend is worried about me, so he called Storm to confirm that wait was correct. They said they could not get here any quicker. Then a little later I called Storm to ask if I could leave my car and go somewhere safe and they informed me that my "husband" had already cancelled the service and there was nothing they could do to help. Once the truck arrived, both men were professional, polite, considerate, and patient. My AAA account had a glitch which I needed to straighten out while the tow truck men waited. Excellent service! Towed my Kia Sportage to the dealer, kept me informed of the drop-off time. Friendly, responsible driver. Needed another tow, as dealer couldn't get to my car for repairs, "for at least seven days." Storm towing picked up my Kia again and towed it to an independent repair shop which could look at it the next business day. I don't know what towing costs average in Austin. I paid $150, for the second tow; my insurance company paid for the first one. I highly recommend Storm Towing! It says a lot, that USAA contracts with them for their customers! read more

This company was contacted by AAA a week ago to provide service in Buda. It took them 2.5 hours to arrive and I don't know why there isn't a provider out of Austin. The car was towed to the Mazda dealership where I just received the diagnostic evaluation that includes the front suspension has been damaged to include the struts and tie rods. My infant was crying from the lights shining directly in her eyes and I was at a loss for why someone with a company tow truck would feel so emboldened as to drive like a fool. We had nowhere to go in front of us yet one of your drivers was determined to try and push us into the tail of the car ahead to the point of splitting the lane and trying to push ahead in the middle. Called AAA today since my car broke down a few miles south of Nixon on my way back to Austin. They sent Storm Towing out. It took longer than I thought it would after my initial conversation with the company so I ended up leaving the car on the side of the road. The Driver called me and we discussed the plan and he kept me updated via phone and text all the way until the car was delivered to the nearest dealer. read more

Extremely disappointed to the point of being angry. My insurance company chose Storm. First update on arrival was a wait of 45 minutes to 1.5 hours. After an hour I called for an update and was told another 20 to 30 minutes. Called again after 20 minutes and was told I was next and the driver was about 10 miles away. After another wait I called and no one answered. Then got a call from a third party saying the call had been transferred to him. After a 3.5 hour wait, a Storm employee named Scott, arrived to tow me. He was courteous and very helpful. Other reviewers have commented positively on the employee drivers, which is nice. Too bad their owner/ scheduler are not as dependable as the drivers. In total it took me 4 hours from the time Storm was called until I arrived home (my vehicle was 18 miles from my house). Broke down 15 miles east of Seguin, Tx 9/10. Called AAA tow service and they mentioned things were not looking good for finding a tow company. After no help, I called at 4pm and then was told the Storm towing would be at my location around 6 pm but I would be getting update calls in the meantime. No update calls and around 6 pm I called AAA and Storm said they would be there at 6:30. I waited till 7:30 and had family pick me up because they never showed. I get a call from Storm at 7:40 saying they will be out shortly....LOL...I just told the guy he must be kidding and hung up. Never did get a tow and found another way to fix vehicle. Dishonest. Lied to the insurance carrier saying they had been to my home and I had refused services. This was simply Not true. Storm towing had told me they were coming and when I found out through my insurance hours later that they weren't coming and that they said I refused services, I called the towing to question it. Storm towing refused to answer why they lied, only stating that a different company would take me on. Apparently this company doesn't transport goldwing motorcycle which is fine, but they could have been honest about it upfront instead of having me wait for nothing then having insurance frustrated me for "refusing services" when this simply wasn't true. Only giving one star because it will not allow me to choose zero. This service was provided to me through Mopar roadside assistance. My vehicle was at a friends residence on the side of their driveway, with plenty of space in front of my vehicle for him to load my vehicle onto the tow truck. He instead pulled into their yard and resulting in multiple tire ruts being left behind. I called their office line immediately upon getting into my vehicle and let them know what had transpired and emailed pictures of the damage to them. I then had to call in 4 times to reach them and they are refusing to be held reliable for the damage, claiming it is not the yard that is damaged. The person helping me, must be having a bad day, said there is nothing they will do and that I am now on their banned list because of this complaint! Lovely service from them. Not only did they arrive over 3 hours later than they said they would to pick up my vehicle, but they STOLE my dash cam, and trashed my rear brakes because they towed it with the parking brake partially engaged. I have been trying for over a month now to rectify the situation but the company simply says they aren't responsible, and with their many reviews describing how unprofessional, rude, and scummy this thief of a company is, I have NO CLUE why AAA, or anyone else for that matter, would ever use them. Over $500 in loss of property and damages, when I could've paid half that to get work from a RELIABLE company. This company caused me more trouble than my broken engine did. So, then I realized he was just working the system. Trying to get more money for the call. Once we got to the car in ditch, he observed it and said they may be another fee. Well, I immediately got my brothers number out to call someone else. But, he came back and said, that there would be NO EXTRA charge to me, so I agreed to proceed. He asked me to text him that I would be releasing them of any liability. I did that, and so, he got the car out of ditch. Immediately thereafter, he came over to me and said that AARP wouldn't pay the extra $75 and that I would have to pay it. Now, understand this is AFTER the work had been done and AFTER he told me it wouldn't cost me anything out of pocket. So, his story changed and that's where I knew they were working me. He agreed that's what he told me, but then he got a call from Travis and said I would have to pay anyway, even though Travis had just told the driver earlier the complete opposite. Travis was very aware of what I had been told and this is where it should have stopped. It was Travis' fault for not disclosing up front and any NORMAL business operator would have seen their mistake and let it at that. But, oh no, not Travis. So, I told the driver I wasn't going to pay it that it was NOT in our agreement and I told him I was leaving. That's when he started THREATENING ME. He told me he was going to tow my car. I told him he most certainly was not. I told him I was going home and he told me he'd 'get me' and run my gate over, that he was going to get me and my car. I got in my car to leave and he almost knocked my daughter over and he was driving like a MANIAC in our neighborhood. The is the same person who drove 5 miles and hour there and now he was FLOORING it. Almost knocked over some little kids in the street. I immediately called 911 afraid for my life. He pulled into my drive (my PRIVATE property) to try and intimidate me (or kill me - who knows) He was a CRAZY man and clearly threatened me and was displaying EXTREMELY aggressive behavior. The cops came out, and we spent the next over an hour dealing with these people. A sickening situation..... SHAME SHAME SHAME on Travis Moores for ALLOWING this to happen. You are a PITIFUL business owner and human being. You're anything but a real man. You have NO skills what so ever in dealing with customers. I'm going to make certain the Better Business Bureau and every other other regulator knows what kind of schemes you run. I am so glad the cops heard your lies, everyone heard your lies. You can't run from the truth. (Clearly, the other customers here agree with me) And in any event, that you or your workers show back up to my property, I have cameras EVERYWHERE. THESE PEOPLE HAVE ANGER ISSUES!!! They deserve a negative 5 stars! Our insurance scheduled towing for us with this company and we were informed of a time they would arrive. A half hour after that time had passed we checked the insurance app for an update. There was no updated info so we gave them a call and simply asked when we could expect them. They immediately became very angry and accused US of being rude. We explained we weren't upset we just wanted an update of when to expect them. They again went off on us and said we could cancel the service if we couldn't wait and hung up on us. When we called our insurance company to cancel and reschedule with another towing company we found out Storm Towing had already canceled the service. When we told him the guy on the phone said they didn't need the keys he told us he didn't say that when we had 3 witnesses. Horrible service. Told me they would be here between 12-12:30, never showed. Then they said they were delayed and would arrive between 12:30-1, never showed. After talking to my insurance they said they spoke with them and they would be here by 1:30, still nothing. I tried getting into contact with them but they would not pick up. They brushed me off and the owner literally said they did not have to tell me anything after I asked where my car was because GPS was showing it across town. He had yelled at me and then after hanging up on me he got on the phone call i was having with the driver and made them hang up on me. Stay away from Storm Towing this is all my opinion. My car broke down at 11am I called the insurance who requested a tow truck to pick up my car and they sent a message that they would be there at 106pm. About an hour later it switched to 220 then switched to 306. I finally called the company to find out what is going on and the lady that answered the phone stated that one of her trucks broke down and they are trying to get it picked up asap. At 430 pm I called back and the same lady answered and she said "according to my drivers GPS he is right on top of your car so he should be there any minute now" she also said she would call me when he is there. At 635 the driver called and said he couldn't find my car but after explaining where exactly it was at he found it and it was loaded at 650pm. I decided to run by the shop where the car was taken to so I can something out that I forgot and the car wasn't there at 9pm so I tried calling the driver and no answer so I called the company and the owner answered and I asked if he knew how much longer it would be and he said "when it gets there" so I explained it's been over 2 hours since the driver had my car on the truck and he said that he also had other calls he had to go on with my car hooked up . The tow driver was very rude and then someone claiming to be the manager of Storms called and was cussing while telling us how professional they were and then he hung up.
