Huge. Lots of space for chairs, and a good sized stage for whoever is speaking. This is an academic's event space, used often by The Wheeler Centre for their touring speakers. I went to see Terry Pratchett speak one time, and it was wonderful.
The soundsystem is good, well geared up for lectures. Toilets are nice, too.
Worth noting: the architecture. This is going to be something that really polarises the attendees. My mother, for instance, told me that I should not only review this place but warn everyone to bring sunglasses. You've seen the outside, the garish green honeycomb patterns. Inside is no different.
Me? I quite like it. It can be a bit distracting, though, as it really is a work of art in itself, so make sure you get there early to take the spectacle in before you are forced to give over all your attention to the stage. read more
