We booked a large moving truck in July for our move October 1. My husband went into the Uhaul…read morelocation on Park Street in Regina, SK. They booked it for us from September 30 - October 3. Our possession dates on our houses are 24 hours apart, so we were need this amount of time to pack, move out, wait for our new house and move in. Again, talking to someone in person, and booking this was no problem with them. Two weeks before our booking, Uhaul called us and said the truck is unavailable at some point. When my husband asked, the person he spoke to said something about vehicles breaking down (turns out they just flat out lie to people). However it was available to us for still some of the time we booked it for and then we were offered a moving van (compared to the 26 ft box truck we booked). It was extremely confusing. The next day my husband enquired again with Uhaul. Turns out they won't let us rent it for more than 36 hours, so "it's available to other people". If I am paying a rental fee - WHY does this matter? Or if you have a stock problem, why don't you buy more vehicles - why is this MY problem???! If you feel it isn't fair to rent things to someone and not to someone else, why are you in the rental business at all? Apparently you should be humanitarians instead! If I were moving from one side of the country to the next, would you only allow me 36 hours? And WHY would you let me book this MONTHS in advance to cancel two weeks before the move. Also super inconvenient as I found out a week ago I am having surgery in a week so I physically won't be able to help with the move. So now I have a couple days to move all my items car load by car load to another house while I can physically do so, because I do not have a large truck available to load for when we have all our movers coming to help. Extremely disappointed in "customer service" of Uhaul, if that is what you would even call it. I guess they did give us $50 to try and help convince us that they care at all - or to maybe not leave terrible reviews everywhere possible. But it's a huge thumbs down and a NEVER again for us.

Their regular price is advertised as $184/mth. After inquiring if I was able to get the special or even regular rate, they said it's possible BUT, I'd have to move out of my unit and move back in another unit identical to mine. They were counting on me paying the constant increases rather than paying movers to move my items to the unit right beside mine. The most irritating part was when I went to the office to inquire of the rent differential. The lady there did not give me the common courtesy to get off her chair and come to the counter which was 10 feet away. I tried to show her the advertisement on my phone, holding it out three times for her to see and she simply showed no concern. After you sign an agreement and move in, they start the increases. Please beware! Shop around. There are other places that do not take advantage of their customers.

Call any other storage company in Regina, SK except storagemart. Very deceptive and will cheat you…read moreout of a lot of money. I used a unit for 5 weeks. it was supposed to be $44/week but my credit card was billed for just over $500. Find a storage business that is up front and honest - that's not Storagemart!
