I needed a place to keep some home furnishings for a couple months. I was assured by the staff that rates don't change that often. They have increased my rate every single month for no apparent reason. I am now paying close to $500 a month for a space that was initially $320. I don't think it's very ethical to take advantage of customers in this fashion. Also infested with mice. there are traps everywhere on the property. read more

AMAZING Customer Service from Cindy. Our need was for multiple storage units, and a few with temperature-control within a driving distance of Aspen, CO and the Basalt StorageMart really came through. Cindy, the rep on location was easily accessible, friendly, on-call and ensured our experience has been super smooth and convenient. Our account was quickly set up (pro-rated accurately) and she talked me through getting access to the facility even during evening hours. The customer service (Cindy and Steve) at Storage Mart in Basalt is excellent. The storage units are clean and secure. The one complaint I have is that after 5 months of paying an agreed-upon price, my monthly rental charge was increased by $20 a month with only a few days notice. The only explanation received to explain the increase is that the company can arbitrarily increase the cost whenever they want. Very disappointing that this is not made clear initially. read more

New management is a joke. The only reason I had to join Yelp was to write this review. I actually despise Yelp and this platform. Steve is a complete ass and incompetent individual. He cannot handle his "management " job in any sort of professional manner. He is way over his head. And let us all take a laugh in the fact it is a storage facility. Do not rent from this place. In two years my rates went up over 60%,for a storage unit. This guy and place are a joke.Go elsewhere unless you prefer abhorrent customer service and over priced storage. Oh and please let me add, after being a customer for over two years, they signed me up for auto pay without my permission, then claimed they didn't and slapped me with late fees. I have all my correspondence saved with these losers, proved them wrong and when I went into address this issue, Steve wasn't wearing a mask for the entire person to person interaction to resolve THEIR issue. It is a STORAGE UNIT. I prefer to have my belongings secure in people I trust. Don't lease from them. Period. read more

First time storage user and have been very impressed with the staff and the location. Schei returned my call immediately and held 2 units for me until we could get there. Both Schei and Mike have been very helpful and delightful to work with. They sell all needed supplies at the office and the storage units are very easy to access. This place is by far the best storage facility in the roaring fork valley. I needed to move some stuff here for a little while I was in process of moving. I called them up, took care of all the paper work, got a storage unit, bought a sturdy lock (at a good price) and moved my stuff all within an hour or two. The staff was very friendly, easy to talk to, and extremely helpful. StorageMart's prices are marvelous as well. Watch out for these guys. We vacated a locker and informed them. They charged our credit card for 3 more months and denied we informed them. Would not reverse charge even though the locker was empty. Different employees say different things. Many other easier storage facilities to deal with. Put everything in an e-mail if you deal with them. read more
