However, they were horribly inefficient. It took a four man crew twice as long to move us out of the apartment as it had taken a 2 man crew to move us into the apartment with the same amount of stuff. Also, we had some bags with personal items in a corner that we said we would move ourselves. They insisted multiple times they needed the bags to use as filler in the truck, and when we finally said ok it took extra time for them to use an unnecessary amount of tape on the bags. Furthermore, we had a couch in the bedroom and this crew could not figure out how to move my couch without taking the bedroom door off its hinges- the whole process took an hour, which was problematic as we were paying $225 an hour. That couch has been through six moves with me- 2 of those times I personally moved with the help of an older uncle and it has never taken an hour to move because it's not a terribly heavy couch. In addition to the inefficiencies, we still have bookshelves, a glass insert, and a remote control that they packed up missing. Lastly, I had several boxes marked fragile in big, bold letters and the crew stacked heavy boxes on top of my fragile items.

On Friday 3/15/2024, Formica Movers provided a delivery service for a valued and esteemed client of…read moreours in Concord, NC. During the delivery, Formica Movers damaged the wooden flooring of the client, resulting in $1800 worth of damage. Despite numerous attempts to have Formica resolve this damage they caused, after 2 months of empty promises and a lackadaisical attitude on behalf of the owner of Formica Moving, the flooring has not been repaired. Formica Movers acknowledged and accepted responsibility for the damage but was unwilling to make the time to address the damage directly with the client. Additionally, they told the client their insurance would not cover the damage due to some type of waiver of liability or contract they normally provide for the clients to sign before the move. In this case, the contract was not presented to us or the client and no one ever agreed to waive any liability for any type of damage. Formica initially offered to repair the flooring and offered up to $50 maximum to resolve the claim, however they refused to put forth the effort to schedule the repair with the client and of course the $50 was a ridiculous and insufficient amount to offer considering the extent and amount of damage. We are forced to resolve the issue with the client directly. The bottom line is the mover performed a service and was compensated in full for the service. Avoid hiring Two Men and a Truck at all costs. They have proven that they can damage your property and not be held responsible for it.

Oh, and packing a Fry Daddy full of oil, which splashed around in the box and on other items....not to mention no labeling of boxes. I just happened to go by the house and found 2 full pick up truck loads that 2 Men and a Truck didn't happen to let me know were left. Had I been making a long distance move I might not have known until I was on the other end. I never received a follow up check in call like I have from other moving companies.
