No 1 I save gas at kwik trip/star. No. 2 this place has the one item that I will drive 100 miles for, great customer service. Every staff member I came in contact with was smiling and asking if there was anything they could help me find and yes there was, Sushi! I love sushi and they have lots of it. My pedometer said I walked over 2 miles covering the whole store. They have everything I wanted. They are a little high priced on some items for what you get, although I found the quality worth the price. Wal-Mart has a lot of the same items and if you read the labels like I do you will discover that the price per is no different than Festival Foods. At Wal Mart it's the hidden price you have to look for. At Festival Foods You don't have to look, it's right there in fromt of you. The best thing is that all the items I bought cost me $11.00 less than they would have at Wal Mart. Plus I saved money on gas at kwik trip. I went inside the middle set of doors... a few steps in and a man on one passes me! I walk the short distance to the self check out to ask the employee if they have them, where are they? Apparently there was a door just west of the ones i came in that they are at. The delightfully kind Darcey offered to get me one so i didnt have to walk further. This review focuses on a product that City Brewery brews for nationwide distribution. It is…read moreRockdale Light Beer. It seems to be primarily sold in Walmart Supercenters. I admit that there is this uptight component of the constitution that makes me the unique person that I am. Whether it be after a hard day of working my backside off, time spent in traffic, or whatever life throws in my path; I prefer to unwind with a bullet beer. In beer parlance a bullet beer is a 24 ounce can or 32 ounce bottle. My bullet beer of choice is Bud Ice and Miller High Life. However, on the days when I shop at a Walmart Supercenter that has run out of my bullet beer of choice there is usually the City Brewery brewed Rockdale Light on their shelf. Following Walmart's mantra of "Save money and Live Better," it currently goes for $1.26 a can. This is the exact price that a 25 ounce Bud Ice cost a few years back. Taste: How does a 24 ounce of light beer taste that costs $1.25 nearly half the price of Miller Light at $2.17? The key word is" light." " Light" beer is the equivalent of diet soda. In my opinion the taste of the City Brewery brewed Rockdale Light is at the halfway point of vomit (as in Earthquake beer or Hurricane) and cream (Corona and Heinekin). It is without a doubt drinkable. I appreciate that it does not have a strong taste. The taste is lemony, in my humble opinion. Influence on the brain: Disparite from strong beer such as Bud Ice or Steel Reserve, Rockdale Light has a very subtle influence on me when I drink it. I feel in control. It doesn't leave me drowsy or slightly buzzed like some of the strong bullet beer does. Again, this is a light beer. However I would not get behind the wheel or write a review under its subtle influence. It is a subtle influence that relaxes me while I visit the cyber world through the computer, listen to a podcast, enjoy music, or other form of enjoyment. It is hard to believe that it has a 4.2 alcohol content. Final words: Rockdale Light is not my beer of choice. However when the Walmart Supercenter runs out of my bullet beer of choice, the 24 ounce Rockdale Light has been the right plan B. At $1.26 price point, Walmart shoppers might need a "plan c" when I buy it out. Buying it out is an exaggeration. Nevertheless, I will buy a couple. It is nice to have a can or two of bullet beer in the fridgein case I run out or had a really rotton day where I could use two bullet size light beers. In conclusion, Rockdale Light is a 3 star light beer that gets the job done.

It was an absolute delight to hang with the folks at the brewery and got some training for Murphy as well. H.O.P. Institute #3: A Double IPA hopped with Riwaka, Anchovy, and Mosaic. Some of my favorite IPAs. Another Neon Sunset: A Hazy IPA that they have brewed before, but this time it has a brand new hop bill featuring Citra and Nectaron. BA It From the Pit '26: The meaning for the trip, an English Style Barleywine that was aged for not one, not two, but THREE years in Willett Bourbon Barrels. An absolute treasure of a beer. Banana Cream Pie Sour: A Fruited Sour with loads of Banana and Vanilla. It's thick, it's decadent, and it's delicious. ________
