I also spoke directly with Stacy at the hotel, who initially told me that a refund would be possible if the third-party provider approved it. She even stated that if I had booked directly with the hotel, they would have refunded me immediately. After following her instructions and contacting both Trip.com and Expedia, I was extremely disappointed to find that the hotel's response was completely different from what I had been told. The communication was inconsistent and misleading, leaving me with the impression that I was being passed back and forth without a genuine effort to resolve the situation. I understand policies exist, but customer service should also involve honesty, transparency, and reasonable consideration. The way this situation was handled was very disappointing and left me with a negative impression of the hotel.
