The furniture in the front room of Maggie Suite is tired, small couch is actually a hide-and-bed. The bed was too hard for me, but it could be wonderful for you. For a 2 night stay, we were gifted 2 bottles of water in the refrigerator. The breakfast buffet was my biggest disappointment, for $240/night I was really looking forward to the breakfast and sadly really disappointed. It simply wasn't worth the price and I felt gypped. Again, for some this would probably be perfectly acceptable but for me it was not.

I have done the safety reviews with Superior Charters' captains and have found them to be very professional, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Superior Charters sets an outstanding example for all chartering agencies.

Check-in takes place at the main entry and check-ins post 4 pm will have a cute envelope pinned to the bulletin board with all the room information including door code, printed ferry schedule and other surrounding area pamphlets. Needless to say, it is very safe here. We came during offseason and appreciated the quaint and quiet spaces. We enjoyed how everything was walking distance and took our time getting acclimated with learning all the logistics of the island and our property. If you need to exit the island for any reason, you will have to take the ferry which is the same as how you enter. Our room was clean and spacious. We enjoyed the indoor fireplace, the claw tub which we sadly never got around to using, the giant walk in shower, the comfortable bed, Keurig coffee in the morning hours, the outdoor fire pit, laying patio loungers and being one with nature. Each bungalow has a stove, oven, microwave and mini fridge along with wine glasses, coffee mugs, silverware and plates which we really appreciated!! We were able to leverage the wine glasses and reheat some leftover meals in the microwave. Having the restaurant on property was a great way to start our vacation and knowing it was always open was nice. We saw plenty of deer across the field in the golf course area along with on property. During the evening hours when we had our bonfires, the stars in the sky were bright and the howls of coyotes made their rounds. The staff was able to accommodate our ask for more K-cups along with a later check-out. We will definitely be returning and hope to check out apple fest next year and make this part of our anniversary!! Thank you!!

Overall, highly recommend Catchun-Sun if you want a relaxed sail or even if you're looking to assist as first mate and learn some sailing techniques. Either way, you'll have a great time.

There was no water in the tanks and they couldn't solve why the battery kept draining. This dead battery caused us to be marooned for 7 hours one day and run aground the next. When we crashed into shore my son almost drowned, telling me he didn't know if he'd come up for air again. When I complained about his boat, the owner called me rudely and acted like a huge dick. Of course he took no responsibility. A loser outfit. Don't support these crooks.

We have 24 people in our family (who come on vacation) and it gets a little crazy with everyone staying in one house. We rented a house not far from the center of town. It was really nice with a private drive, a screened in patio, two bedrooms with 2 bathrooms, a HUGE kitchen, a nice family room and satellite TV. It was an absolutely gorgeous, two-story traditional house in white. This place was giant; way too big for just two people. I think the house actually slept 8. Since then, we've been renting an apartment in downtown and it's much cozier. Madeline Island Rentals always makes sure we have a great time. They offer cleaning services just like staying in hotels, they take out the trash and recycling, and they make check out very easy.
