I show up 5 minutes before my tee time to be told they are closed. No explanation. Yet, I. Can see 30 carts already out on the course. Unbelievable. Was sent home. This joke of a golf course has lost a customer for life. I also home as many as possible who read this choose to golf literally anywhere else. This place is extraordinarily poorly run and never in great shape. Spend your money elsewhere.

Course…read morewas in horrible condition minus the greens, the trees are overgrown on to the fairways to where you couldn't hit the ball at a normal height on about half of any given hole, the grass needed cut, the dining areas have not been updated since the 1990s, and the staff was pretentious. The golf carts were outdated and poorly maintained. During the banquet reception, the speakers' microphones kept going in and out. Nobody cared to step up and replace them. I was embarrassed for the club. It was sloppy. I would have been extremely mad had I paid to play that course. Luckily I didn't have to pay because it was a company sponsored event. Right now, I'd question playing this course again even if I got to play for free. I think I'll just stick with playing at my club and save the drive. The place needs new ownership and management. They just need to start from scratch.

In 2025, Fox Run is under new ownership and the impact has been immediately positive in every way. I have been playing at this course since 2020 and I always thought it was a decent course but it was certainly not my go to. In early 2025, I decided to play around here not expecting much at all. I was very much surprised (in a good way). The new ownership group is incredibly positive and kind. The family has a passion and joy for the game which makes the round enjoyable from the start. The course itself has improved as well. The course is better maintained and looks beautiful. They allow carts out until the absolute last moment of the sunset which is very rare. I was able to get 18 holes in with a 5:50 tee time the other day. Highly recommend everyone get out and play a round here if you haven't and especially if you haven't under the new owners in 2025.

It's way out there, if you're not from the area & your GPS will take you on a scenic winding road, country detour which is OK in daylight but a nightmare in the pitch dark on the way home. This review is based solely on the clubhouse bar/restaurant, not on the golf course itself. The building is non-descript on the outside, but fairly nice inside with a large bar, dining area, middle room with pool table & back banquet room that looks like a regular basic wedding reception room (essentially what I imagine it's used for)...which is where the band played. There is no actual stage. It was quite busy on a Friday night and the two bartenders were slightly overwhelmed and doing their best to take care of the customers. They actually have a pretty big menu with lots of choices, and I had the fish and chips which was good-a very large piece of fried fish. The Miller Lite on draft was cheap at three dollars a pint. The band had a decent crowd in the back room, mostly older folks, so it was a little strange like playing to an old people's wedding reception, but it worked out & was fun. They look like they have a nice patio attached to the restaurant that overlooks the golf course that will be nice once the weather warms up. If my friends play here again I would stop by but not living in the area doubtful that I will be back until then. Having said that if you live in the area definitely worth a looksee and looks like a decent place to eat or sit at the bar. They have a one of the largest screen TV's I've seen in a bar. The bartenders were friendly despite how busy they were.

The maintenance is very good with tee boxes and fairways in very good shape, and the greens were nearly perfect. They were also lightning fast, which was frustrating and fun at the same time. Green fees were quite affordable, particularly given the quality of the course itself. The scenic quality of the course really added to the experience. Almost every hold had its own beautiful vista. Beware of the many doglegs/blind shots you will have. Try this course if you find yourself anywhere nearby.
