A few months ago we had them return to build a stone water feature/waterfall adjacent to our pool. The job went quite smoothly, but required some mortar work between some natural stones, and unfortunately the subcontractor used a dark-brown colored compound that did not blend with the lighter-colored stones, creating sort of a zebra-like appearance. We notified the boss, John, who jumped immediately to correct the problem. That required several re-visits to get it right, and John was more diligent and demanding of his subs than even we were, with a really attractive and functional end result. We'd recommend John/Architectural Stone in a minute to anyone needing anything done well & creatively in the masonry category.

(WOE), owned by Jesse and Pete Garcia, for a remodeling project due to water damage in my home. My experience with them has been nothing short of a nightmare. Here's the timeline of events: October 8: Contacted WOE for a quote. October 18: Paid the deposit after reviewing several quotes. November 12: After my cabinet contractor completed his part, WOE came to do the final template for the project. I was told there was a 7-day turnaround. No Updates: I had to reach out to WOE several times for a status update. Each time, I was met with excuses. First, they claimed their compressor broke down, and then they couldn't provide a solid date. December 4: I texted WOE to confirm the time frame for installation the next day. December 5: No one showed up. When I contacted them, they blamed "truck issues" and said they would arrive in 45 minutes. They never came. At this point, I requested a refund, but things went from bad to worse: 1. The owner called, claiming an employee had to go to the ER and begged for another chance to come the next day. I reluctantly agreed. 2. December 6: Once again, no one came. 3. I demanded a refund. The owner issued a check, but it bounced. 4. She claimed the check was from the wrong account and promised to issue a new one or refund via Square. 5. When I contacted Square, they had no record of a refund being initiated. So I went to her shop to inquire about my deposit. She stated she'll wire the funds to my account. I wasn't leaving the shop unless we went to the bank together. She claimed she had to stay there she was closing early and be back to her shop by 12 to follow her to the bank. She text me at 11am that accountant said to call her ASAP regarding the bounced check. I called and the phone was off and because it was going straight to voicemail. I told her I was on my way back up to the shop so we could go to the bank. She responded ok and that she was at SRP because half of her shop power was off. WHO goes to SRP when their power is off? What can they do for there?? Nothing! They would either send a tech out or troubleshoot over phone. an implausible excuse. I've since filed a complaint with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors (ROC) and will pursue reimbursement through the recovery fund. World of Elegance Inc. is dishonest, unreliable, and unprofessional. Avoid them at all costs.

I then referred very good friends of mine to them, and their story ended differently. They were defrauded out of their $13,000 deposit and left with nothing. My friends had to find another company to do the work and have been forced to seek legal remedies to recoup their money. Very dissapointed in this outcome. If you use this company, and I highly advise you don't, I would suggest work before payment, or you're not likely to see either again.
