Sean Griffee and Kelly Noonan were tremendous with legal advice related to the sale of our business in Issaquah. Thanks Sean!

I hired their lawyer James Lobsenz for my appeal, and really feel sorry for this person. I don't…read morethink he knows how to respect people ( I am an Asian speaking with accent). He at first disappeared for almost 2 months after receiving $45,000 from me, he didn't reply any email I sent him. Then, one time, he yelled at me on the phone out of no reason ( maybe my accent irritated him?). When I tried to say something, he said he didn't understand what I said, and started saying what he wanted to say. Another time, I emailed him I felt too depressed to call him, and right away I got his call. ( Is this some sort of abusive behavior? Or he doesn't know what respect is? Weird thing was he hanged up in the middle of conversation, and emailed me he tried to call me back, but I didn't answer the phone, while I still had my phone in my hand, and no call coming) He always did his work at last minute, and never sent me drafts for comments or feedback before filing to the court. ( he seemed to forget that's my appeal? Or he just doesn't know what respect is?) When the appeal was denied, he said he didn't have much time to prepare petition for review. So he would file a motion for reconsideration, which would be denied for sure, but it would give him more time to prepare for petition, and of course, I had to pay for the time he spent on the motion which was going to be denied for certain, that's about $8,000 after I got the invoice. In the end, I paid him $44,000. I was glad I finally fired him because I really didnt know if he wanted to help, or he just wanted my money, and "pretended" to help. I have been treated with disrespect and abuse by this lawyer. I actually felt at the 2 time meeting he didn't seem to want to help after talking to former lawyer Anna Tolin ( Tolin law firm) who has tried to persuade me to give up my right to my appeal. But I didn't know why he decided to take my appeal, if he didn't want to help.

They talked as if it was all unicorns and rainbows and told us that everything was fine but in reality it was not. They hired a company that overcharged us to handle the payment of the lawsuit. This company also consistently missed its deadlines. After all was said and done after pressuring them to release information they finally did. This is information that had been withheld from us the whole time was alarming to say the least. We were constantly told that the lawsuit was fair and that everything is going as planned but in reality the lawsuit was highly unfair and we waited ten years to get $97. What's even crazier is that the lawyers had their own fund but still didn't have the decency to pick a good administrator to handle this and for a much better price. There was also these 3 tacked on class actions that had nothing to do with our case that eat up our fund. We thought that they would remove after them talking about it being a waste but ended up leaving them and we were left with damn near nothing. I'm absolutely pissed!

From our first call, Alex had already read everything I'd sent him and thought about it. He walked me through the reality of the situation -- what might work, what was unlikely -- and proposed a strategy. The haze around me started to lift, and I knew I was in safe hands. Throughout, Alex kept me up to date, building trust and explaining the strategy behind every move. When things felt terrifying I could confidently press ahead with this unflappable ally -- whether things looked hopeful or harrowing, he was coolheaded at every turn. Alex didn't just win my case. He gave me my life back. If you're reading this, you're probably where I was -- scared, overwhelmed, and not sure if it's even worth the fight. It is. Call Alex. You're going to be okay.

Alex Higgins cannot be recommended highly enough…read more From the moment you meet and talk with him, there is no doubt that you are working with someone who is intelligent, thoughtful and very skilled as a lawyer. He is highly organized and has an astute attention to detail yet doesn't get so lost in the details that he misses the broader picture. I never expected to find myself in a situation where I would need to find a lawyer. I'm not sure anyone really ever does. As a physician, I had no idea where to start and felt completely out of my element, until I met Alex and we reviewed the case. In our initial discussion, I immediately knew that Alex was someone I could trust. He was respectful and professional but also made it very clear he wasn't going to tell me what I wanted to hear. He was able to explain complicated law in a way that I could understand. During our meetings, it was clear that he was listening and had truly taken the time to understand the details. Never did I feel rushed or dismissed. I felt heard and taken care of like I imagine my patients want to be heard and taken care of. As my case progressed, Alex had the insight and professionalism to recommend that I continue my case with a more specialized firm instead of attempting to keep the work for himself and potentially do a lesser job. Regardless, even with the more specialized firm taking over my case, I continued to go back to Alex time and again with questions and concerns. I felt that his judgement and honesty could not be rivaled and it was comforting knowing Alex was still there. Ultimately, Alex and I decided to bring him back onto my case as co-counsel because I trusted his skill and expertise too much to not have him on the case. No one wants to go through this experience, but I feel incredibly lucky to have found Alex. It is in the rough times that the great people show themselves. Alex is one of the great ones out there.
