Definitely one of those places where you will most likely find all your liquor needs. What brought…read moreme out here was the Tailspin Ale Fest early bird ticket sale and there was also a post that there was gonna be a $15 pour of an alcoholic beverage that is illegal in 14 other states, that had my curiosity. Evergreen is located off Shelbyville Rd next Five Guys and there is parking in front of the store. The inside is very big and has just about everything you can imagine. I did have a little bit of a difficult time finding the the ticket sales but eventually found them. The store itself was doing the $15 pour of Sam Adams. It was in a special edition bottle (pictured) and I was told by the employee that the pour I received was 28% ABV (Hence why it's illegal in 14 other states) and it's only made every 2 years. My first sip of it, OMG probably the strongest liquor I ever tasted. I sipped very slowly and walked around the store and looked at what they had. This location is known to do special pours and releases of liquor and will have Facebook events advertised for it as well. Overall I was impressed with the layout of the store and like I said before you will most likely find what you need here. Staff was very awesome and knowledgeable of the limited edition release of Sam Adams. I'd come out here for special releases of other things but, I don't live close enough and I'm usually not off in time for work either but, I do find myself back here.

The different types of of tobacco blended together give my brain a happy hold into the past and also gives me a since of safety...brings a warm glowing feeling and a smile to my heart and face...all just by walking in!!! Thinking about buying some just to use like a potpourri Lol!!!! My daddy smoked a pipe when I was in Elementary school, so that is over 40 yrs of memories. He smoked various different scents but cherry is my favorite. My husband smokes cigars every now and then, so he likes to shop at stores like these and picks up a ciggy or 3....My grandpa was a pipe and cigar smoker too. Another great warm feeling... So whenever I am down, a little depressed, I can walk into a smoke shop and get a quick mental pick me up.

I liked the recently departed owner, J Paul Tucker -- his wife is keeping it open as a memorial to him. Rent for him at the Oxmoor Mall is something like $6,000/month but the prices seem in line with those of other quality tobacco shops -- not there is another such in Louisville: they are an endangered species. I hope this one survives as many years as I do (89 next month) and longer, for the sake of younger generations, which is my case is all of them. Jim Bowden

This was my first visit and grateful for my friend introducing me to the owner, John, and sharing info on monthly events. Definitely plan to return for future opportunities to learn more and enjoy new-to-me products. Noticed there is a refrigerator case with specialty cheeses, Lotsa Pasta products, etc. All of the staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. Store layout stretches out much further than I had time to explore during this visit, but looking forward to checking it out soon. Received discounted prices on tonight's highlighted wines, which was also a nice surprise. Can obtain the purchases same evening or pick up at a later more convenient time. Great personalized customer service.

So there is nothing else to do but, you know, go in and check it out! The shop is bright and welcoming and interior design #goals. Which makes sense as the building is also home to an interior design firm on the second floor. The woman working was very friendly and welcoming, but didn't hover. Everything is (no shock here) Pappy Van Winkle bourbon themed and branded. But it is all very professional and not kitschy, classy looking and really well-curated. Because stuff is associated with Pappy...you can be sure it isn't going to be cheap. But at this point, the bourbon industry is booming and everything having to do with the spirit is booming in price right along with it. I didn't buy anything on this visit, but I was intrigued and enjoyed my stop in. If you are in NuLu or are interested in some Pappy merchandise, you should certainly pay this shop a visit!

What your poison?…read more This is a local flavor that's been around since 1832. Now the current owner stocks all sorts of cigars, cigarettes, chew, or whatever your "legal," favorite are. It's been humid here in New Albany, so while you're out stop in for a drink. A can of coke for a buck and a water bottle for fifty cents. Best deal around. Now they don't sell vapes here. The selection of other options is pretty great. Lots of options available. If you are smoking then support your habit locally for less.

Top 5 everyday drinker is HH 7yr BiB. Favorite rye is Rittenhouse. I have at least 20-30 bottles of HH product. The line up was criminal for a tasting. They should pay their patrons for having to stomach mellow corn (not capitalized because it doesn't deserve to be!). Larceny is a dollar a dozen as is elijah craig. I would have preferred cheap Old Fitzgerald and the brown label Henry McKenna. Anything other than the "line up" sampled. The only high point was our host, Debbie. Debbie was very nice, pleasant and knowledgeable about HH. Four days in Louisville and my only disappointment was the Heaven Hill Experience. HH has to rethink the line up they offer for tastings if they want people to return. Combined my buddies and I have over 1,000 bottles- this was the biggest DUD of our trip.
