The food was delicious we had the ribeye steaks and they were on point. A bit expensive, but we'll be back.

The Sizzler Steak House - Oxford - Supposed to be medium RARE filet mignon. It's more like a tough overcooked and dry sirloin.

Everything was delicious except the star item, the steak. I ordered the large filet cooked medium rare. It was not medium RARE and definitely not filet mignon. If it was, they really overcooked it. I think they gave me a sirloin medium WELL. Maybe they were out of filets but it would've been nice to know since I was paying for a higher priced filet. I'm sure if Door Dash was told they were out they would've called and asked if I wanted a different item or cancel the order. They ALWAYS make it right. (BTW highly recommend). I mean I like sirloin but at least cook it right. It was tough and not very juicy at all. On the verge of being dry. Highly disappointed expecting a thick and juicy, melt-in-your-mouth filet and getting almost chewy dry sirloin. I would've been happier spending $100+ on the square. Will only recommend with caution. By the way the bill for one steak w/2 sides add-on grilled shrimp and no salad, drink or dessert was $80. Yes I payed for delivery but I would've gladly paid even more if it was a good steak cooked as requested and good service by a great and friendly waitress. The previous owners were so much better and really cared about their customers. Never had to send anything back. Had better hush puppies, salad and desserts too. This was supposed to be my Mother's Day from my son that had to work.

I was charged an extra $2.00 maybe for cheese and bacon and butter and sour cream. The chopped steak was good and big. The gravy was good but I was surprised the onions were not cooked must have just been added to the gravy. When I mentioned the uncooked onions, the waitress just smiled not saying a word. Overall the price for what I got was very pricey. I am just visiting the area so probably won't be returning here. The waitress was very sweet and did check on me enough! I was not asked if I wanted dessert though I heard others being offered desserts. My bill came about halfway thru my meal.

And it was also very affordable - before tipping, we paid $61 for a three-person meal (3 entrées, only water). This is the best dining experience we've had in Mississippi so far. Highly recommended!

I need to back up and say that our visit was a table for 7 on Spring graduation weekend. Since they do not take reservations, we got in line early for the table and were 3rd in line for the table that would seat our party. The problem came when the first in line decided that they wanted to push their reservation back over an hour, and they let them. Add to that everyone wanted to spend time celebrating so the table turn was not the usual. We were not seated until almost 10:00 PM that night (now you know). The wait staff did an excellent job. Very knowledgeable and helpful. The decor and setting is classy fine dining with dark wood and colorful accent lighting and decorations.

Since it was my first visit, I appreciated that our waitress took the time to answer questions and help me navigate the menu. She was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. I started with the onion petals, which were delicious and a great way to kick things off. For my entrée, I ordered the steak kabobs cooked medium. Unfortunately, they came out closer to well done. They still had good flavor, but I wish they had been a little more tender. The salad bar lived up to the reviews. It was fresh, well stocked, and definitely worth the trip. As a nice touch, they brought out a slice of strawberry cake for my friend's birthday. I stole a bite and can confirm it was pretty tasty. Overall, this is a great local spot with flavorful food and fantastic service. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the steak was overcooked. I'd definitely come back and try it again.

Waitress was attentive and did a good job. I was happy with the service... in my book, you get the food right, that is 80% of the job. Not fastest service, but still good. I have eaten at steak houses all over the world, i don't think this one is the best, but it is good, especially when you consider middle of nowhere Oxford.
