I was feeling a combination of nostalgia and needing a change from my regular pizza go-tos. This Richmond Row place is a fav with Western students for a post bar slice. They also have a cute "name day" promotion wher the A-frame chalkboard outside picks 2 given names each day and if that's your name...free slice! I ordered the special for $25 that included a medium pizza, garlic fingers and 2 pop. Turns out that it being 2am and being wasted after the bar had a lot to do with how good this pizza was. My adult self was unimpressed with the lack of easy parking. To be fair, orders inside were handled promptly BUT I discovered I wasn't given the pop after I got home. The pizza was fine. Good, not great. The toppings were correct. The garlic fingers have a weird sweet dipping sauce that I was convinced belonged with a dessert and was given in error. Overall, if you're walking by, sure grab a slice. I wouldn't go out of my way to order a full pie. read more

I've gone here a few times with friends. The staff are genuinely friendly, chill people that play music they like and chat sometimes with each other and the customers. It's cool that they give a free slice to people with whatever name they've got up on the board for the day. The dough of the pizza is really fluffy, and slices are big. The toppings on the veggie pizza were more than just peppers, they added stuff like mushrooms and onions too. This place is great, and I'd order a full pizza from here over competition like Dominos or Pizza Hut anyday. read more

The only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because of the staff. They were polite and attentive. The sauce is bland. The dough to topping ratio at this place is way off. The pizza is all dough and you can't taste the toppings. And to be honest the price is not worth it, I paid $25 for a small pizza. Go 2 blocks down to Carling and Richmond and visit Cousin Vinny's where the sauce is tasty, you can taste the toppings.. not just the dough. And you can get an XL pizza for the same price. read more

Returning to Windsor from Kingston, we were not looking forward to more OnRoute fast food for lunch. I decided to look up pizza places in London instead. We decided to place an order online for Stobie's. It was a good choice! The online ordering was simple, and they had some specials to choose from. We ordered some garlic bread (with cheese) and a pizza, along with some drinks. Reasonably priced and ready when I wanted to pick it up. Friendly service too. While we don't live close enough for this to be a regular thing, it may become a road trip go-to. read more

When I order pizza, I hold it up to higher standards than most, because I am from Windsor, ON, and we pride ourselves on our pizza there. This was the third time I have ordered from Stobies, and I had found out about Stobies from some friends, who had told me to follow their Twitter account, because they give 3-4 names out a day and you get yourself a free slice of pizza (with ID). Stobies has a very huge social media presence here in London. My boyfriend ordered it online via their website, and it had taken about 45 minutes from ordering it, to get it to our door, which is very long, considering we live about two blocks from their location. The pizza and wings that we ordered arrived hot, and ready and the combinations of ingredients tasted delicious! The wings were baked and not deep fried, which is a bit of a healthier alternative to the always deep fried wings you can get from any other pizza place. I enjoy Stobies, and their free pizza for your name day; it's not something you see for most pizza places anywhere. I like their option of thin crust pizza, and that they have sundried tomatoes. If we order a pizza again, it will most likely be from here. read more

The number one thing Stobie's does right is customer service and their social media. A few years ago, my friend tells me that everyday they tweet some names and they get free pizza. WHAT?! Really? *clicks follow* It turns out I was their 600th twitter follower and they offered me a free medium pizza! That's awesome! The other day it was my Pizza-Name day, a common term for any pizza lover in London. I went in and there was a ton of different slices to choose from. It was really fresh too but a bit greasy. The bag was pretty see-through by the time I got home. The workers there are always pretty chipper, even at night when theres a bunch of drunk people barking order at them. I like that they are fun to interact with. I really only visit Stobie's on my Pizza-Name day and after the bar. It is fairly decent pizza once and a while but I wouldn't say its my #1 go-to when I want to order for delivery. When we did get the free medium, we chose the Smoky BBQ Chicken and it was pretty darn awesome. All and all, if you're downtown and like a thicker crust and sauced up slice, Stobie's should be your choice! read more

Man oh man. To relive your first experience with stoby's pizza! I went for the first time, grabbed a slice of Canadian (Hawaiian for SO) a coke, and garlic dip...and I was in heaven. There's some room (maybe 8-10 ppl) to sit indoors - no frills, just some chairs by the mirrored walls, but that's fine. A slice and pop is about $6 something but it's huge. I was full halfway through. There are options to make your own pizza and I think you can get other stuff (like a deep dish for $15) but they usually have a few pizzas rotating so you can pick from there. It was pretty fresh on a Saturday afternoon. It's not super cheap, pizza-wise buuuut it's really good and decent price for a meal if you think of it that way. read more

Walked in for a slice and was blown away by their idea of a slice. For less than $5, you get a massive piece of the pie. It definitely wasn't piping hot or fresh; however, it was warm enough that it didn't taste or feel like it had been sitting there for very long. I got the Canadian pizza, which has bacon, mushrooms, cheese and pepperoni (could you ask for anything more in this life?) and it was the bomb. The crust is very soft and fairly thick so the slice is going to fill you up fast. They handed me a loyalty card and said I could get free slices if I buy 10 slices. The sad tale starts at a crust that's thick and doughy but lacks much crispiness or flavour. The sauce also lacks flavour aside from a kick of black pepper and maybe some garlic salt. And the cheese is suspicious at best: it melts just a little bit too easily to be real mozzarella. Overall the impression is of a store-bought pizza you baked yourself at home. The plus side ought to be that you get a huge slice - a whole third of a large pizza. But look at the price tag: at $4+ for that big slice, you really aren't getting a deal by any measure. Stobies is most definatly one of the after bar hot spots along richmond row for a slice of pizza. Sometimes I swear it seems like everyone and their grandma showed up to get some pizza there, lol. But no matter what they always seem to have enough to go around. Sometimes I question how sanitary this little cramped pizza shop can be when you see them making pizza's right beside the sink, but after a night at the bars thats the last thing your thinking about. They also have delivery but I've never ordered a whole pizza from here, just the slices. I came here for a quick lunch before getting back on the road from a UWO visit. The pizza was hot, fresh, and delicious. The pizza maker (pizza maker?) was super friendly and they make the pies right there in front of you, next to the cashier. We paid just over 15 dollars for 3 slices and 1 Coke can, and I felt that I got my money's worth. One thing that I really liked about this place, that I know some people won't, is the ambience. It's your real small-town pizza place. A little dingy, with that early 2000s Pepsi logo. However, don't be fooled; if you're looking for a quick bite or even a pizza dinner, this is the place you should go. Also, I found it awesome that they have that comfortable, small "get to know you as a regular" feel. They also run a cool free pizza day where if you can prove you have the same name as the name selected for that day, you get a free slice! I had a pepperoni pizza slice and one thing I noticed was how the sauce tasted like a real tomato sauce, as opposed to that mediocre paste I taste at a majority of other pizza places. This was my place to go for drunken pizza. Probably because my drunken self can forgive how disgusting it really is. I bought a large pizza with pepperoni and bacon. They told us it would be ready in 25 minutes for pickup. Half hour later we got there and still had to wait fifteen minutes. The bacon? Raw. The pizza crust itself wasn't cooked, leading to a floppy spice and toppings sliding off left and right. One of the things Stobies advertises to have is donairs. A dish invented and famous in the maritimes. On three separate occasions we came to this restaurant looking for donairs. For something they advertise on their store banner as a specialty dish, it should be expected that they have it available all the time. First time we came, they didn't have any donair meat in stock. Disappointed, we left to return on another day. A week later, we returned to try again. But again, alas, no donair meat. Finally on our third attempt, they finally had the meat in from their supplier. We happily made our order. The guy behind the counter went to the back for a few minutes and came out to inform us that we will be again disappointed. They did indeed have donair meat, but it was frozen solid in their back freezer. Why would you keep something not only your menu, but on your store banner and keep it frozen in your back freezer and refuse to serve it to your customers. The boys behind the counter are always so friendly and great! I subscribe to their tweets so I get notified when they announce the names of the day. If your name is mentioned OR if it's your birthday, you get a free slice! Their slices are humongous, equivalent to two slices from your usual pizza chain joint. Stobies also gives back to the community, if you donate blood you get a free slice as well. My only complaint is that the toppings & cheese don't stay on very well. Stobie's is the place to get a slice of pizza after whooping it up on the Richmond Street northern crawl. It's hardly a well-kept secret, however, as even at three in the morning on weekends it's often crawling with drunken students. There isn't really any seating; it's mostly for take-out and delivery on account of the kind of business they do. There are some counters inside you can stand at when you eat your slice. The pizza itself is pretty good (though I wouldn't rank it as the absolute best I've ever had). Of course, it helps if you get a fresh slice. But even one that's been under the lamp a while can hit the spot when you've put back a number of drinks and need something to soak 'em up. read more

She went back in as there was bacon on her side & the guy took his tongs & pushed it over cheese and all so her side has nothing on it. Stobies has the best vegan pizza in London. (I haven't had their regular pizza in years but I remembering it being quite good as well.) Just order the Daiya cheese instead of regular cheese, it's a little bit extra but well worth having actual vegan pizza delivered to you. The hours Stobies is open is also incredibly helpful for students who might be studying late and low on food (and let's be honest, you don't want to have to go out and hunt for food at two in the morning.) read more

So usually I don't write reviews but as a concerned Londoner I feel I have to say something here. Here's the thing: London does not have a lot of super late night delivery options. Which is annoying AF. Enter: Stobie's. Pretty sure this is why they've even stayed in business this long. Horrible pizza, but open late for all the drunk/high people. (Enter: me.) So in the course of like, three months, I attempted to order Stobie's at 2AM when admittedly not in my right frame of mind. Both times I ordered the BLT pizza. The first time it had no lettuce on it. Um, HELLO? It has THREE ingredients and you can't even get THAT right? The second time I ordered the BLT and by some miracle it actually DID have lettuce, but THIS time.....ALMOST NO BACON. Like literally, I found about 3 tiny chunks of bacon on the entire medium sized pizza. Pretty scarce tomato as well. I also asked for extra cheese, but they gave me such an exaggerated boatload of cheese that the entire thing was pretty much inedible. The fact that it was not sliced properly didn't help. I literally could have melted a shit ton of mozzarella on a cardboard plate with 3 chunks of tomato and some slimy lettuce and would've had the same experience for 5% of the cost. (And 100% less food sanitation concerns. Pretty sure I'll be sick tomorrow as I'm sure these idiots have zero idea what they're doing.) Not to mention, the delivery guy was so incredibly high (and possibly drunk OR on drugs OR both AND driving -- entirely separate concern/legal issue) that he was visibly SHAKING as he juggled my pizza and change. Always great pizza but customer service is lacking. Ordered a pizza for pick up almost 8 hours in advance, was told $15 and some change over the phone. Got there at my pick up time and my pizza hadn't even been put in the oven yet and I was told by the cashier it would be over $19 and only an 8 minute wait. After I had explained what I was told over the phone, the cashier immediately asked if I wanted to just cancel my order. I said no and that I was told a cheaper price by whoever took my order in the first place. She then went on the tell me that they didn't know they were going to be that busy when I first called in the morning. Just unsure about how that would change the price of a regular pizza.
