If you, like me, are partial to those pre-oral check up niggles and if the thought of (eek!) dental treatment makes your skin crawl then finding a good dentist is crucial.
I'd been having some trouble with my wisdom teeth and I was in quite a bit of pain. There was no way round it; I needed to book myself an appointment at the dentist. Previously, I'd been registered at the on-campus dentist at Stirling University but, since I'm no longer a student, I called up Stirling Dental Practice to register myself there after my colleague had recommended them to me. It was quick and easy. - All that was required was a few details on the phone and a short form to fill in before my appointment.
From start to finish, I felt so comfortable. The receptionists were friendly and welcoming. Both Louise, the dental practitioner, and the dental nurse were so lovely and did everything they could to help re-assure me. I felt so relaxed and it was all down to them and their warm and friendly manner. I had to make another appointment for the continuing treatment and I knew that it wouldn't be something that I'd be too nervous about.
I would really recommend Stirling Dental Practice, especially for those who are anxious about visiting the dentist. You shouldn't be afraid of the dentist; you just need to find someone who makes you feel at ease. Also, the building doesn't feel clinical like other dentists' often do. It's just like a house with carpets and an ornate staircase which leads up to all the surgeries. I loved this, I just didn't feel like I was at the dentist and it took my mind off any worries I had.
