Nora Creina is a private settlement. A kind of cultural experiment if you will, where the…read morelandholder has offered long term leases to parts of his property for people to build beach houses. It does have a 1950's shanty shack by the shore feeling, but that is its charm. Guests are welcome, but you do need to be respectful of the fact that you are visiting private land. It is reached by a 15 minute drive from Robe, and is well signposted, and be aware that part of the way is along a dirt track. You know when you have arrived when you reach an unlocked gate through which you must pass. Driving through is to step back into the yesteryear of a kinder gentler community. When you pass the community information board, to the right, a short 4WD track leads to the beach. Thinking back on this secluded, tranquil beautiful place that has burned a place in my brain so I'll never forget it, another thought came to mind...I could quite easily have gently pushed my then husband into the peaceful waters and waved as he slowly sank to the bottom. Good fish food, no onlookers!!! And such a lovely memory I would have had. Such wonderful weather too on the day we visited if I recall rightly. Oh well, hindsight is often the source of pleasant day dreams. Peace out people. Be kind to each other.
