David Stimpson and Tessia where the best. Took their time, explained everything, and did not rush me

On oct 22 2025 my mother passed away.Prior to her passing she made it very clear that the executor of her will not access to her remains.So just moments after they took my mother from my home I met with David Lacasse of Stimpson and associates and he assured me he would look into the matter.Nearly a month went by I learned via social media my mother had been cremated and her remains were given to the executor.I reached out to David Lacasse feverishly i called left voice mails emails i got no response, I spoke with the receptionist only to be told he's in court,he's in ann arbor, he's in a meeting ,he's not in etc.After a week or so I gave up it was to painful to deal with my mother's death I didn't need more to remind me.i gave David Lacasse and stimpson and associates 2,500 and he gave me nothing for it not even a email. David Lacasse and Stimpson and associates kicked me at my lowest point ever as well as disrespecting my moms memory. I highly recommend you not use David Lacasse and Stimpson and associates services if they did this to me they can just as easily do it to you.. read more

We had a phone consultation in May with Mr Stimpson regarding updating our will to ensure it was valid in Michigan. We made a trip to the office to drop off a copy of the will and other documents. He assured us he would review and get back to us. Having not received any communication regarding this matter I was told "I'm new" and she would look into the matter. I explained that due to the unprofessional service, we were going with another law firm. Today (November 4, 2025) I received a bill for the amount already paid back in May. I called the office and that person was new also. She said she would investigate. I do not recommend this law firm. read more

Dave recently helped my son get custody of his daughter. Dave and his staff were professional. Dave isn't just any lawyer, not only does he fight for his clients, he cares about them as well. We have used Dave and his staff several times in the past. Dave has always come through for our family. I would highly recommend Dave Stimpson and his staff! He's absolutely terrible to talk to. A very demeaning and NASTY guy. I just found out he's suing me his client lol for the final $500 I didn't even know I owed. This after probably 15k I've given him. Which the final $3500 I gave him he put me through to mediation and was unreachable I'm not even really sure how I blew through that final retainer because he strait up does not tell you. You will just get a bill for like $1000 randomly after the retainer it'll leave you scratching your head. When you talk to this little guy you'll realize what I'm saying is true pretty quickly. read more

I am sorry but I am going to write this review. I am so extremely frustrated with this law office staff primarily Destiny who is I guess the main reception there who answers the phone. She is the most unkind unprofessional especially for an attorney's office, receptionist I have ever ever talked to!!. Before she started at this office I was completely happy with this office staff and Mr stimpson. He's a very nice Attorney and did my will and estate planning years ago. But because of a situation that was Beyond My control I missed my appointment by I believe 20 minutes before I realized it. Because of this, this rude receptionist destiny who I tried to explain everything to and why I missed my appointment by maybe 20 minutes to a half hour and upon getting myself together after this stressful situation, I as soon as possible called their office to explain and gave my apologies. What she said after a very stressful conversation with this destiny was explain to me that mr. Simpson said he was going to charge me $150 just to reschedule with him on top of any services from now on he would give. would not be included in any services that he would allow me from then on. I asked very kindly in understanding that I know time is money but explained it was a very stressful situation and I could not help what had happened causing my appointment to be missed. He still would not allow any courtesy for me whatsoever. In speaking with this God forsaken receptionist Destiny who is absolutely terrible on the phone she talked so fast and would literally not let me get a word in edgewise getting me so upset that I was almost in tears. I do not and I repeat I do recommend this office to anyone whatsoever for any attorney needs. Based on what mr. Stimpson did as far as his inability to allow me ONE courtesy considering the situation, and reschedule my appointment for my services and as well as this unbelievably unfriendly unprofessional receptionist Destiny I would extremely CAUTION. And recommend no one coming to this office for their services! AND that is an understatement read more

Dave helped me navigate all the paperwork and rules involved with handling my father's estate. He was incredibly professional, knowledgeable and easy to work with. I couldn't have asked for a better lawyer and would gladly work with him again. read more
