I wasn't looking for super stylist or anything like that, just a barber who knows what he / she is doing. When I got to Premiere Image Barber Shop the first thing I noticed is the layout of the place. Very comfortable sofas, beautiful canvases, and a very relax atmosphere. After waiting for about 30 mins it was my turn. told the barber what I was looking for, he made sure he repeated back to me to confirm which gave me a sense of relief to know we were on the same page and he proceeded to cut my hair. While I was getting my haircut I enjoyed the conversations and music that was being played. I enjoyed the hospitality and most importantly their customer service. I didn't think this place was going to be my routine place to get a haircut but now I can't wait to go back there for my next haircut.

I just enjoyed sitting there and listening to the conversations while waiting, for sure they put you in a good mood. They were great with the kids. It quickly became my go to place from 2013-2016. Then I relocated to Minneapolis and began going to the Uptown location where I had some of my best haircuts. I grew my hair out during Covid and in March I had my first cut with Nate. He quickly gave me some advice for having long hair and did a great job; I really appreciated is dedication to cutting hair. Today I returned for a second time and I called and spoke with Elina and asked if she could fit me in today if someone cancelled as I would be at a nearby coffee shop. Sure enough Elina remembered me, called, and I was able to get my haircut today. While I was bummed Nate was not working today I trusted there would be someone good working--- yes I took a risk on a new stylist cuz I needed a cut before the weekend; I don't always make that choice. I must say I was impressed---best part of my visit today was Mary by far. Mary is experienced, she really cares about cutting hair, the people that sit in her chair and her fellow co-workers she works with; Mary is First Class. Hat's off to the entire team here at this location. Your team is positive and really making customer service a priority. Thank you!

I guess now I know where the crappy business of the neighborhood is in the North Loop. Their website said they accept walk-ins. Obviously they do not. There were zero customers there when I got there and zero customers when I left. They had two barbers doing nothing. They said that since I did not book an appointment online, they couldn't help me. They were so rude I decided it was better time spent to tell people about this experience rather than go on my phone and book an appointment.

Although the interior is a bit 'eclectic', it does feel cozy and gives you a good honest downtown St. Paul neighborhood vibe. Dave (has been working there 52 years!) gave me a great cut while entertaining me and making me laugh along the way. I totally recommend paying him a visit... He works Tues-Friday and charges $21 cash preferably... I cant even imagine the last time i had such a good haircut for that low of a price. ((Ps. They're located in the skyway))
