I found Brian and his team via referral from my realtor; before I even found a house I liked, I met with Brian and learned a bunch about the different types of home loans and programs available for me as a first time buyer. He was very clear with me about everything from up front costs and long-term savings to how his company gets paid in all this. Though I struggled to find a house, I was prepared with my pre-approval in hand and when I did finally find "the one," the loan side of the purchase was really the easy part (scary, but easy). I checked with my own bank to see if they were able to beat the deal Brian found for me and they could not - even my bank's agent said it was a great deal. Fast forward a year and a half, and mortgage rates had dropped 1.625% from my original loan, so I reached out to Brian and asked him if he could run some numbers to see if refinancing would work out to be a good deal for me. He did, and called me to walk through the numbers over the phone. He found me another great option, and just yesterday I signed the paperwork to close on my new loan. Nothing was explained to me, I'd just suddenly get an automated request to sign documents. I made specific requests prior to close because I wanted to ensure closing wasn't a scramble. The paperwork was incorrect when I got to close and I had to sit for over an hour waiting for new paperwork, then resign all the previous documents. It was a mess. And I didn't even get a text message apologizing for their mistakes and the delay.
