For the main I had the chargrilled chicken burger--pretty good flavors overall. Two of my friends had the pulled pork sandwich, which they liked a lot too. Serving sizes were more than adequate. The coffee was surprisingly good. Surprisingly because finding good coffee used to be quite difficult on the gold coast. It was gorgeous, sunny morning and we opted to sit outside, on the right, by one of the wooden tables. The murals opposite were amazing, putting life to a dead block beside us. But the coffee was a massive hit! Really excellent! And not to be out done, so was my Avocado Sourdough with goats cheese, hemp & tumeric dukkah, haloumi and corn salsa. Loved the Turkish/Middle Eastern influenced healthy menu with the hemp dukkah, spiced nuts and lebnah. One of the best eats on my holiday. Small, fresh and totally delicious! As you walk by this bakery you are lured in by the incredible…read morearomas of the freshly baked bread, pies, sausage rolls and numerous cakes. I tried the half lammingtons with cream and it reminded of days gone by sitting with my aunt in country NSW eating lammingtons and sipping tea. Memories flooded back as I enjoyed every mouthful. The owners chatted about their cakes and about their trading hours. They are open as from 1am! Wow, couldn't believe it. As the owners explained they have a number of taxi drivers, bus drivers and travellers buying their products all hours of the night. My companion and I enjoyed a steamy hot coffee with our cakes and I know we will return there soon.
