He and his one employee dress the part as well. While it sounds gimmicky, it's actually not. That is their honest style and it's reflected in all phases of the business. They specialize in stringed instruments and concertinas. Banjos, guitars, and mandolins adorn the walls in the main room. To the left of the cash register, you can peak into the workshop. You'll find some of the most beautiful banjos and guitars you've ever seen being made by hand. They don't just make instruments from scratch, but can repair your noisemaker, no matter what the damage. When you go by, be prepared to see cool sights, hear amazing stories, and pet a dog or two that has found a bed in a guitar case.

My son has been taking guitar lessons from Chase for a few years now. Chase is the living embodiment of patients and he demonstrates all other virtues associated with a quality instructor. The spectacular part about this establishment is that is nothing out of the ordinary. Wes, the drum instructor, could be one of the nicest individuals I've ever met. When my son had just started learning guitar in 3rd grade he participated in the schools talent show. Wes was there helping one of his students set up, so he naturally without being asked, walked over talked to my son talked him up, alleviated any nerves he had and helped him set up. After he was done Wes was the first person to hi five my son and tell him how great he did. Chase subsequently volunteered to come, on his own time, the following year to be there to support my son and help him set up. Trip the patriarch of the school is a very fortunate man to have such strong employees. However, it appears he leads by example as he is always positive and friendly and continues to give individual lessons himself. I could not ask for a better facility, more conducive to learning an instrument.

But Harold's work is just always exactly what I was looking for. I told someone a while back, "Take your guitar to Harold. After he gets done with it, you might drop it and break the neck, but it'll still be in tune and the action will still be lighting fast." His prices are fantastic and always gets me done within 48 hours of drop off. Harold is my official guitar tech.

He offers lessons for either 45 minutes or an hour and he's really great about working around your schedule. He's one of those multi-talented musicians that can play somewhere around 50 instruments. I plan on bringing in bagpipes one day just to see if he can play them. (So..if anyone has some bagpipes laying around, let me know.) I believe he offers lessons for many different instruments, but I can only vouch for piano and guitar. The actual store is owned and run by his father, Steve. They sell all kinds of instruments and musical equipment. I've never actually purchased anything from them, but everyone has been really nice when I've come in for lessons.

This is a clean, easy to walk through record store with friendly staff. There are two listening stations complete with headphones and great quality turntables. There are sections for used vinyls including most genres in 12's and 45's, CDs, a photo booth, and comfortable seating to listen to live sessions or as you wait for someone to complete their record adventure journey. It isn't a large store but prices were reasonable. The majority is not alphabetically ordered so part of the experience is finding what you came to find. Enjoy!

I was happy to see that they have a 3.99 clearance section. I ran across some classic/vintage vinyls and I even made a purchase. The store is organize nicely and bright inside. They also have a nice leather sofa to lounge on. Staff were friendly enough but helpful. This was my first visit to Seasick Records. I plan to return in the future.
