The service is rather slow and if they don't like what you're asking them to get you its very clear…read morethey just act like they don't know how to do it. ( Such as crickets or other small bugs they have to count out, even counting out the feeder fish.)But the place is always clean, well stocked and have all the newest things on the market. The selection is always up to par. The staff is the biggest problem so I think if they weeded out the ones that don't want to do alittle bit of everything it would be an all around great place. Just a few kinks they gotta work out.

I visited Clean Paws Grooming yesterday and I was very disappointed in how I was treated by Morgan…read more She was downright hostile towards me and dismissive of my knowledge about my pet (like how to get her into the bathing tub, etc). I honestly don't know how she thinks she can talk to customers the way she did to me and stay in business. I have never been treated or spoken to so poorly by anyone! I reluctantly left my dog there but was shaking with anger about this interaction. When I picked up my dog from Clean Paws Morgan couldn't have been nicer to me. I don't know if she had some insight into how she treated me when I initially arrived or what but I will never return to this grooming business ever again. If you make an appointment with Clean Paws grooming do not book with Morgan. After the appointment I walked directly to the store part of the business and spoke to a manager and let them know of my very poor experience.

My fish tank is very well established, the fish were heathy and the water quality is good…read more I purchased close to $100 worth of fish on Saturday, February 28th, at the Lebanon location. By Monday morning, all 4 of the neon tetras were dead. I misplaced my receipt, so I was unable use the 3-day fish guarantee to return the dead bodies and have my water tested so the fish could be replaced. On the morning of Wednesday, March 4th, I discovered that my established fish, as well as the new ones, now all have ICK, so I started treatment and water changes. Today is Friday, March 6th, and we have lost two more of the new fish: one tiger barb and one of the other tetras. That's $36 worth of dead fish, plus $12.99 for ICK treatment, not to mention the time I have had to put in so far to try to treat the illness. I should have known better; there were signs on the tanks near the ones we purchased the fish out of stating that those fish were not for sale because they were undergoing treatment. I assume that the filtration systems in the tanks are connected, so if one tank in that row has sick fish, all the tanks in the row should be quarantined. However, I looked very closely for signs of illness and thought I had chosen healthy fish. My fish tank is very important to my family, and some of the fish that are now fighting for their lives have been with us for close to 10 years. I will never purchase fish from this store again! I'm very disappointed in this experience and truly hope the rest of my fish survive the ICK treatment!

I have purchased items there for years. When I would pay they would ask credit or debit, etc. But…read morenot today, the girl took my card and ran it thru and I immediately noticed a NCA charge which seems to be a thing suddenly. I questioned why she didn't ask if I wanted to use debit (since I have heard they cannot charge the NCA fee if a person is using a debit card). She couldn't answer that, just gave me a blank stare. I let her know that I thought this was illegal when using debit cards (money comes directly out of your checking account and no fees are charged to the vendors). Plus the stores are to post that they are doing this and the employees should also mention this at the time they start the sale. Her attitude was "oh well the machine charges everything credit or debt 3%. Even the other two girls looked perplexed and the guy behind me agreed with me. From now on, cash only and only if I can't find elsewheres.

They emailed me back thanking me for reaching out and thinking of them, and proceeded to let me know what items were acceptable. They closed out by informing me I can drop off items in their donation bin anytime of the day/week, which I did. It has been a week and I am flabbergasted that not once did they offer their condolences or sympathies on the loss of my dog! This is soul crushing that an organization working with animal adoptions has no empathy for people who lose a beloved family member. This action is so contrary to what I experienced 13 years ago when I also lost my dog at that time. Perhaps the UVHS can conduct staff training on how to offer condolences, and be more sympathetic towards donors who lose a cherished family member.

Since then I pop in once in a while (if they're open) to check it out. Caitlyn who works with the cats is great and their only redeeming quality. The hours are minimal, the staff is atrocious for the most part, and they are some of the most ungrateful and snobby people I've ever met. They also seem to have a very strong one pet per household leaning. For a place that's supposed to be helping find forever homes for these animals, they suck at their job.

I'll reiterate, that right from the start, your employee is not telling you the truth. See below,…read moreand read the edited reply to the owner: The woman with dark purple hair working in the bird room on 4/11 was very rude and off-putting. She needs to learn to speak respectfully, and not have an attitude or speak to someone with "I not going to say anything," and give an expression of 'you're irritating me.' Her whole demeanor was condescending and with 'I'm Queen of the Nile,' disposition. When someone says, "I think I made a friend," when talking about one of the birds who she permitted to step up into my hand and the bird let me stroke it behind its neck, you do not give a disgusted expression when questioned why she was giving that look, and you don't respond with, "I'm not going to say anything." Beyond rude. She needs a good talking too about customer service and how to talk to people more nicely. Edit:: First and foremost, I asked for permission. I didn't stick my hands unnounced in on my own free will concerning the conure enclosure. I asked, "Would it be okay if I tried--" Your employee said, "That's the only bird (conure) that will probably let you handle it." Her choice of words strongly implied that the other birds were unfriendly, which is not true of the Senegal. She did not explicitly state, "Do not touch any other birds," despite your sign. At this point, our employees had the authority to ask me to leave the bird room. Not only did she fail to do that, but she also permitted me to continue holding the bird. Your employee needs to improve her communication skills. As someone on the autism spectrum, I require specific, direct instructions to understand what is permitted. She did not provide that clarity. Her comment about the concur being the only bird likely to allow handling suggested to me that I might try interacting with another hookbill, with the caveat, "Don't be disappointed if you get the same results." This misunderstanding arose solely from her failure to communicate effectively. A simple statement such as, "I'm sorry, but only employees can handle any of the birds unless someone is very interested in adopting one," would have sufficed when I inquired about handling a conure. Her inability to communicate is not my responsibility--it's your employee's oversight and a failure to train your staff to engage with customers in a friendly and informative manner. Furthermore, she did not explicitly instruct me with the words, "Do not touch any other birds," despite your signage. If she claims she did, then I regret to say she is being disingenuous to protect herself, which is common behavior to avoid accountability. I have visited your establishment multiple times, and in the past, your employees had no issues with me handling your birds, regardless of what the signs stated. This inconsistency has led to my misunderstanding of your current policy. Your employee should have approached the situation in a much more welcoming and helpful manner. She didn't even bother to greet me when I arrived with my advocate, instead acting as if she detested her job and did not want to be there. About the sanitation station and the sink: I asked if there was anywhere I could sterilize my hands because birds are highly likely to carry salmonella. Your employee said you did not have anywhere for me to sterilize my hands, not even a mention of rubbing alcohol you pump from a dispenser, which is mind-boggling especially since you own a pet store. I'm sorry my wanting to prevent the risk of procuring the possibility of salmonella was such a problem and put you out so much that you dared to mention it. Your business and in the manner which you manage it and your staff are a joke.
