It's never fun going to any doctors since the necessity indicates health challenges. In this case,…read moreincontinence. It's doubly unpleasant when you have to deal with unpleasant office personnel. The waiting room was of good size with enough space for patients to be apart. The trouble was the people minding the counter. Not welcoming. It was shocking to see how one person handled a phone call about an apptm. Fake pleasantries that masked mean spirited and rude attitude toward customers seeking health help. Snickering and laughing about patients' responses... wow. Speechless. The doctor was outstanding though. The only reason why this place did not receive a zero. I hope we can see the same doctor at one of the other locations. Very unprofessional behavior in front of a waiting room full of patients.

Interesting how much difference business practices and staffing can make. We have had probably five…read moreor six visits at least to Chesapeake Urology offices. Each time we have found the physicians and the P.A's to be very knowledgeable, professional, and experienced. Unfortunately, the follow through has been dismal. Having been told by the PA a test is urgent, the staff made an appointment for us FIVE months into the future. Each time we go, the procedure for checking in, only by computer, is laborious and time consuming and irritating, for instead of showing( for example) your list of meds and asking if there are any changes, you must mark each med as current. Same with medical conditions. Too bad this practice has a monopoly on urologists.

Upon setting up appointment, Dr said to give him the Groupon code first, therefore I could no longer cancel my Groupon purchase. After, he notified me that my two 60 minute reflexology on voucher can only be used by one person. I discussed the fine print using "gift", I offered to do less time if the $$ doesn't work on his end, he declined all. Felt like a scam from the beginning of our contact. Only way, i didn't get burned, Groupon backed me up all the way and credited my account. Use Groupon. Do not use this "Dr".

She is…read morethe main one that I always have to correspond with when I either call or come in, and she makes me feel uncomfortable. Besides the unprofessionalism, for example, she has hung up the phone on me twice and she also broke the HIPPA laws by providing my son's principal with his personal information. She makes us feel unwanted when we arrive and if I have to ask her for any assistance she blatantly acts as if I am disturbing her. I have asked to speak with the office manager regarding the preaching of the HIPPA Laws and the way she portrays their office as the first face a patient sees or the first voice they hear, but I have only been able to leave a voice-mail or leave a message with the front desk to pass on, and I have never received a respond leaving me to believe they do not care about my concerns. My son suffers from ADHD and Anxiety, and he does not want to switch doctors as change is difficult for him (and me as well) so he tells me he doesn't want to change doctors. I do like the doctor, the nurse Practitioner is awesome and I suggest your go-to. The only other problem we do tend to have often is having them send in my son's medicines refills on time. It is very stressful as he needs them every 30 days, and these are medications that can affect him mentally If he misses even a day.

She is not personable, and lacks the basic skills that a physician should have to care for patients. More details: During my last visit, I was there to treat an injury to my rotator cuff muscles. She was about 30min late (I waited in the office the whole time.) When she came in, she asked how I was, and I responded "Not good - I wouldn't be here otherwise", partly because I was annoyed by the wait, and partly because I was trying to make light of the situation. However, this person began to speak with me as though I had offended her on purpose! All of the rest of the conversation between us was so awkward. She began to speak to me in a condescending manner, and even began to give me general life advice. I should have called the clinic after the visit and filed a formal complaint with full details, but I was in pain and could not get myself to do so. Stay away from this provider.

Dr. Adashek was my gyn of 26yrs. I wish I had not stayed with him as a patient for all these years…read more He was my favorite until he showed his true colors. I had an immune response to a steroid shot. I was having severe Cognitive and neurological issues, memory loss as well as many horrible symptoms, such as lyme and mold infections that arose from weakened immune system. I was unable to detox the steroid properly that caused havoc on my body. It even depleted my hormones. Right away, he called me Bipolar. I went to the ER several times with confusion, neurological issues, severe low BP, high heart rate when standing, severe weakness and fatigue and many other issues. I was unable to advocate for myself due to brain inflammation effecting my ability to communicate properly. No care from the clueless ER docs and labeled as anxiety ridden and gaslit me. I trusted Dr. Adashek for so many years and when I needed him he belittled me and was verbally abusive to me and called me "a hot mess" when I was having serious neurological issues and going to the ER several times for help. He had no idea of my suffering and thought it was a joke! What kind of caring, respectful doctor speaks to a patient suffering in any way this way? He is a disgrace. He then tried to prescribe dangerous medication to me he had no right to EVER prescribe not being a psychiatrist for one and not knowing why I was suffering the way I was suddenly. To choose to just prescribe such habit forming drugs to me when I have never taken meds my entire life is beyond dangerous! I had never been depressed or had cognitive issues in my life. I always had a smile on my face and saw him once a year for my yearly appt. I was just married 9months prior and so happy planning my honeymoon. Instead of him recognizing something was very wrong with me, he didn't care to help me and labeled me as Bipolar. People do not wake up one day bipolar and unable to think clearly. I really can't believe how cold and incompetent he truly is. He hides behind a facade and I wish I had seen it sooner. He didn't want to be bothered to help his patient of 26yrs. Shameful. I suffered for months until I found a wonderful functional doctor that got to the root cause. His Nurse Practitioner, Ariel Paskin, tried to give me testosterone when my levels were normal and very coldly told me to go to Sheppard Pratt when I was having severe fatigue and confusion and unable to get out of bed due to mitochondrial dysfunction. A female NP that is supposed to care for women and make them feel safe. The way she treated me was disgusting! They both had no concern for me whatsoever and labeled me in an instant without having a clue to what was really going on. They are clueless and have no right diagnosing anyone on medical matters. Dr. Adashek likes to play psychiatrist, but he isn't one, and pushing addictive medications like Klonopin or any of those class of drugs on me was being reckless with my life. I was treated horribly by Dr. Adashek and his NP. Going forward, I would never feel safe with him or trust him. I would never recommend him or his practice to anyone.
