Steve helped us with a tough situation that we were unprepared for. I can't imagine navigating the legal system without his help.

We Have used Steve and JC a few times for family members. They are excellent! Wouldn't want anyone else representing myself or a loved one.

Stefanie and her team are some of the best in town. I have not only used her for multiple things,…read morebut have recommended her to dozens of others. Whom have also had great experiences. You will not be disappointed by hiring her or her firm to represent you.

I found Stefanie Ellis when I was down to a very short amount of time to attempt to modify spousal…read moresupport, and also paid her for parenting plan and child support modification concurrently. She took my case, knowing the deadlines. I paid her immediately and went to work. I provided almost if not all documents literally to her hands, many excellent documents to prove my case. I did a ton of the work and research, and ultimately she had me file my child support modification myself with vague information to undo mistakes she made, including filing the original modification wrong, as part of something else that was denied thus losing me a month of the modified support amount. The practice was brand new, her email didn't work properly (admitted in email); her partner went out 3 weeks early on maternity leave (admitted after her unprepared performance in court lost my case in a blink) and knew I had not previously had any attoney, gave me NO instruction about the court hearing day, ignored many emails with huger concerns and questions, didn't greet me outside to say anything at all, and in fact wwe in the courtroom chatting happily with the opposing attorney when I arrived. This is like yesterday. She fumbled through her paperwork unprepared, totally unknowledgeable about my case, had eliminated things from my declaration that came up (as I though they might) thus could not defend me when the opposing attorney spoke of them. She was HORRIBLE. I had one chance to get the spousal support extended which though difficult, I had very legitimate medical reasons to increase. It was so clear she had no time to prepare, and was a lone attorney with many cases and never admitted til later. She then gave me misinformation about withdrawing from my case and did not help me with a reconsideration or revision. I had to do it all alone as she said I hadn't paid her enough. I asked who could object to her withdrawal and she claimed the court or other attoney and failed to mention that her client could. I was still her client when I asked MY ATTORNEY for legal advise. She made me finish my child support modification and basically the opposing attorney completed paperwork. I lost $800 for the month she messed up on and had more over the top areas trying to meet deadlines and pull myself out of the mess she put me in . In addition, i could not at any point reverse her decision and errors on eliminating a great deal of my declaration and eliminating some of my dlexlararjlna feom oitside people, since if not in original paperwork, it cannot be defended or spoken of. The opposing attoney literally lied and lied and twisted information, and didn't even have the facts down as she defaced me. I had defended myself, Stefanie said not relevant so removed or all. This was a huge part of the opposing attorneys tactics and her lies and manipulation was strong and powerful and influenced the judge absolutely. The judge himself seemed sorry I could not speak since the opposing attoney objected any time I brought up what actually happened. I paid Stefanie $3500 for nothing. She lost the simple parenting plan mod I requested (so my home schooled kids would be able to school on Friday's ) ; lost $800 child support that was given and no contest just dated too late, lost all I asked for regarding child support, and by losing the spousal support request, lost me the hope of many many thousands , and the ability to ever open the case again. Do the math. I was married 25 years and received 3 years of spousal support as a full stay at home mom, home school mom, with a back injury and a sick child. I am single still, and should have been granted lifetime support unless or until remarriage. I emailed her to ask for help and she said she would be required to attend the hearing for the support modification. On the day of the hearing, she emailed me that she actually didn't have to be there after all and would not be. And that I owed her money still. I tried to work with her and negotiate with all the proof and emails and she refused to refund a single penny. I could not regret my choice to hire her more. This was a critical time.
