During the first visit, he did a color correction, and during the second visit, he performed a keratin treatment that he made it seem like he was covering himself. However, there was never any clear pricing or quote discussed beforehand. He presents himself as very confident and makes clients feel comfortable, but in my experience it felt misleading. I even brought him Starbucks on my second visit and still tipped him on top of everything I paid. In total, I spent around $720 within one week for both appointments and left feeling completely ripped off. I will not be returning. There are plenty of salons that provide great service without making clients feel taken advantage of.

The salon feels very homey and gives family vibes. Just be prepared that if you're going in for any bleaching service it'll most likely be an all-day thing. But Ai Lin and everybody cares very much about the integrity of your hair and Ai Lin is very realistic about what is achievable for your hair without damaging it too much. Ai Lin works very hard (as does everybody else in this hair salon!) and is very much working on multiple people at once, but does her best to check in. I didn't see her eat or drink water once (hopefully she did!), for the whole time I was there from 10:30-6:30pm. My hair also wasn't lifting in the bottom as we expected to, as I last dyed my hair 5 years ago but we were able to make it work. She also gave me SUCH a good long layered cut! Van was able to squeeze me in on a Friday afternoon but did state that her partner would assist. I went in during my appointment and had to wait 15 minutes. The place does get extremely busy so an appointment is highly recommended. I was greeted by Tay and Van. Tay brought me in for a hair wash and it was a very good wash. He scrubbed and massaged my head very thoroughly. After the hair wash, Tay took me to his chair and asked about what kind of haircut I would like. He recommended me to cut a U shape haircut since the ends of my hair is very thin and I don't like the V-Shaped haircut I got with a different stylist at another salon. I told him to make my hair ends look thicker and to not cut too much hair as I tend to like my hair longer. He cut my hair and Van checked the haircut and did any fixing that was needed. Both really work their magic. Tay is very attentive and fun to talk to. Both took their time and paid attention to the details, which made a big difference in the final result. The cut turned out exactly how I imagined--clean, fresh, and easy to style. The overall atmosphere was welcoming and professional, and I didn't feel rushed at all.
