Don't look any further as Dr. Dolman is the one you are looking for. I had three wisdom teeth that…read moreI needed to remove since one of them was erupting sideways. I was recomended by my hygienist to have it removed before cavities begin to form due to the difficulty of brushing the area so I did some research and looked for referrals from friends. I previously removed a wisdom tooth a few years ago but put off removing the other three as I didn't want to be stuck eating soft foods for another three weeks again. I scheduled a consultation with Dr. Dolman and that was when I knew Dr. Dolman was extremely knowledgeable and I could trust him with this procedure. Dr. Dolman is not pushy like a number of doctors are. Rather, he explains what would happen if you don't remove certain teeth and what would happen if you do. His explanations were clear and helped me prepare mentally for what I was about to go through. Doing any sort of dental work is usually pretty scary and pulling wisdom teeth is one of the scariest procedures for me due to the fears of dry sockets and things going wrong. However, Dr. Dolman is very experienced and goes above and beyond to make sure that his patients are safe, comfortable, and at ease before, during and after the procedure. Did I mention that during the procedure, I didn't feel a thing and was very relaxed? I didn't think that could be possible in a situation where someone would be yanking your teeth. What makes Dr. Dolman stand out is the experience post operation. I was provided a printout of what to expect for the next few weeks during recovery, what to eat and how often to change gauzes. In addition, Dr. Dolman gave me his number so I could text and call him if I had issues. He followed up periodically to check in and see how I was doing and answered questions I had very patiently. Dr. Dolman truly cares for his patients and I highly recommend everyone who needs oral surgery go to him. He is the best and I recommend all my friends to see him.

The office is relaxing with calming videos running in the rooms. The appointments are easy to book, and the staff is friendly and professional. Two of my wisdom teeth came in right after I had my first child and were impacted. One was close to the nerve, so regular dentists did not want to touch it. Exactly one week ago, Dr. Calat numbed the area completely, and it took him about 5 min to pull out both teeth. He was quick, precise, and thorough. Before I knew it, he was cleaning the area and suturing the extraction sites. He did say that it didn't always happen so easily, and it could take up to 2 hours in some cases. I had some pain that went away with Motrin and Tylenol the first day. The second day, there was no pain, only low-grade fever 99.8F. I didn't need any painkillers. I ate soft and mashed food and followed the instruction from the after-care list. I took Motrin before sleep just in case but didn't need it. On the third day, I went out for lunch and had seafood risotto. Tomorrow is my 15th wedding anniversary, and we are going out for steak. Thank you, Dr. Calat. My wisdom teeth extraction turned out to be a much better experience than previously anticipated.

I met with several highly rated oral surgeons in Manhattan, Dr. Park being the third and final consultation, which was yesterday! Upon meeting and speaking with him, I knew I would be in great hands. Because I was able to get his staff my insurance information and my panoramic x-ray in advance, he was able to do the procedure which included the extraction and bone graft yesterday! I opted for IV sedation because I did not want to know or be conscious of what's going on around me. Yes I'm a baby and I did not feel a thing. Fast-forward to today the site is virtually painless and I'm in a happy state of shock. His front desk and surgical team were also so uniquely and incredibly kind to us in a myriad of ways, one of which was helping me get my mom who accompanied me, down the steps into car service going home. She's 83 and God bless her for traveling with me from Brooklyn to the upper west side! It was a long ride, but so worth it. Amazing practice and I am so very happy and impressed with Dr. Park and my outcome. You all exhibit such a kindness, and grace that is pretty rare nowadays, but so deeply appreciated. You really have something special here.

Given the extent of the procedure, everything went smoothly with an excellent outcome. We just had our final visit with Dr. Choi, and the results couldn't be better. One year later, the site shows no signs of infection, and the bone has been fully restored. Dr. Choi is not only an excellent surgeon but also a warm and empathetic person. The day after surgery, he personally sent my husband a text to follow up. He always listened to our questions and concerns and explained everything clearly. His office team is helpful, courteous, and professional and their new location is modern, bright, and welcoming. We highly recommend Dr. Choi to anyone in need of maxillofacial or periodontal surgery.

My previous dentist didn't have any early appointments available to remove the tooth, and my next appointment was 3 weeks away, so I needed to remove it as soon as possible. I didn't even have to take Tylenol to get some sleep that night. After dealing with the pain for weeks, it was nice not to take Tylenol to go to sleep. The equipment they used was very modern, and the staff were very professional. It was nice that I got a follow-up call to see how I was doing. Highly recommend anyone to get work done there.

Common sense after researching wisdom teeth that are touching a nerve even slightly, its too risky for a surgeon to remove it as it could cause more harm than good removing it when it is touching any nerve! It is completely unacceptable for an oral surgeon to keep patients waiting 2 hours past their appointment time in a waiting room without ANY communication between the staff and patient. Not only was the waiting room extremely stuffy, but it was crowded - to the point where people were sitting out in the HALLWAY ON THE GROUND. This office told me I should do follow up work also the same day as the extraction. Apparently it is better, if I want to have an implant, to do all the work at once since the gums will heal with the implant in place. I first spoke to Maria who clued me in on this. I then asked what it will cost specifically and what was covered. She had the office manager Irene call me back. Irene spoke with me in depth on the steps for having an implant done. She wrote out about 8 codes for me and told me what was covered in my plan. She e-mailed this information to me. She even outlined steps after the implant placement, to be done by my general dentist. It turns out after some research, that I will not be going with this office as fabulous as they were. It's less expensive for me to go out of network and to have one doctor do everything instead of handing off to my dentist. Implants aren't really covered. This office has to hand off to a dentist because Dr. Tarlo is a surgeon. I wanted to write a review though because had it not been for this office, I wouldn't have been clued in to the steps to take for all of this. Other offices wanted to schedule me for an extraction only which would have been wrong. Thank you for your great work! I am sure Dr. Tarlo is superb and should I need an oral surgeon in the future, I will definitely reach out.

I had a serious issue after the procedure causing intense pain. They said "oh we've never seen a reaction like this so it must not be related." Um yeah, so for some reason the morning after an invasive procedure in my mouth I'm having intense pain and it's UNRELATED? Seriously WTF.
