He's very personable but still professional, and all of his treatments have been very effective. I like that he is straightforward about treatment options but not pushy. My husband has extreme foot pain for years. Made appt with Dr. Hayes who recommended a big toe…read morejoint replacement due to arthritis ... he asked the Dr. if he needs to be tested for gout. Dr says no it's just osteoarthritis that caused the damage. Surgery during Covid. Dr. called me when surgery was complete to say it was gout! Toe joint replaced with a titanium joint replacement. Big toe was very short after surgery and never touched the floor. Went to PT as recommended. Continued problems with big toe. Dr Hayes didn't care, took no responsibility and was a jerk. Fast forward to June 2025. New surgeon did repair work on second toe and reported that big toe joint replacement was decades old technology that has a high failure rate. It is not attached to the bone and has never been. Surgery will be repeated in a few weeks. Dr. Hayes was very unprofessional and did not hear anything my husband told him! So sorry we didn't get a second opinion in 2020! Bad attitude bad doctor!!!

I waited 2 weeks for this first appt. As I arrived to the Dr. Office I receive a call saying the Dr has a medical emergency and would not be able to see me; I was frustrated to say the least ... mainly because I drove 45 minutes to see the Dr. I was rescheduled for Friday at the same appt time. Once again after leaving home and driving 45 minutes I received yet another call saying this time it was a family emergency and the Dr could not see me. The caller actually said to me " I try not to schedule people on Fridays unless I have to ... because the Dr always gets called away " WHAT!???? I am leaving this post in the hopes that others beware of this practice. This is a horrible impression on new potential patients. And, if the Dr has to reschedule due to an emergency an appt should have been offered for the same day at a later time.
