I searched Yelp, saw Bettina was based out of Dogtown, loved the samples I saw online, so gave her a shout. She suggested we meet in person to hash out the details and I hired her on the spot. She checked all the boxes any bride is looking for: - She was EXTREMELY responsive (this was a biggy for me). Honestly, she usually responded to my requests or questions the same day. - She was very easy to work with. Her go-with-the-flow attitude is definitely the vibe you want during such a stressful time. - Her pricing is very reasonable. I could not believe some of the quotes we received from other vendors. Bettina fit our budget perfectly. - Her photos are stunning. All of her work is great, but she really shines at outdoor photography. Our wedding party photos in Forest Park turned out amazing! I'm in love with them and we're getting compliments galore from family and friends that have seen them. Now that I follow Bettina on social media, I see that she does all kinds of work - family photos, senior pictures, etc. I highly recommend her if you are looking for a photographer!

My husband and I chose Cate Jackson to photograph our wedding and our engagement photos. First of…read moreall, I really love her style and work. When she first met with us, she helped us create a "package" that included everything we needed, modifying it based on how many hours, if we wanted the second shooter, etc. She has a great eye for scoping out places to take your photos and listens to what you want out of the experience, too. So, for our engagement photos, we wanted a more urban feel, and she took us to Tower Grove area for photos. For our wedding, we wanted more nature and so we went to Forest Park. Even on a busy fall day in Forest Park, Cate had come by ahead of time to check out the spots where the best fall foliage could be found! As a result, we have some awesome pictures! One of the greatest things about our wedding photos is that we have two angles of everything. Her second photographer was amazing! She took just as great of pictures as Cate, and it helped us capture alternate aspects of everything. We waited for about 10 weeks to get our photos back, but when we did, we had a treasure trove of about 1200 pictures! When my husband and I looked through them to narrow down our favorites, we still ended up with about 500 "favorites!" Cate mails you your photo collection on a USB drive that is in and of itself a work of art (it has a wooden box with one of your pictures screen printed on it). She also sent along a form issuing us permission to print the photos at your discretion. Meanwhile, she also posts a virtual gallery where you and family members can order professional prints. We had a very good experience with Cate and are whole-heartedly recommending her to all of our friends and family!

The photographer made me feel comfortable and beautiful and had great pose ideas (although I wish they'd have used the blue wall a little more in my shoot, it was so pretty). And the order was a week early to the quoted time so that was all great. Con's: My biggest beef was the misleading language of the 'deal'. I can't be the only person who believes "CD of 20 images" implies high resolution. Does anyone else see the irony in having a CD that is 'best viewed by phone' (as she described when I was picking out my pics). They weren't kidding either, 36-40kb. Really people? Ok well at least allow me to buy untouched high resolution images, you already have them and won't have to do any work, the lighting was so great I didn't need touchups. Nope they won't sell untouched full res images. Well you are losing easy business then. Might wanna rethink that. Overall great experience but buyer beware that the 'deal' isn't really what you might think.

Chris is an amazing photographer, she is actually very good with kids and overall she's a very creative artist. When you come to the studio you immediately see that the people who run the studio have a very good taste. First I was scared to do my makeup and hair because I used to wear my makeup in a certain way, but Stacy made me absolutely beautiful, so my husband was truly amazed. I'm very happy with all my pictures, they are beautiful. I would recommend The Studio to every one of my friends.
