Definitely a local hot spot! Sternback was recommended by my trusted Rick Steves guidebook and we enjoyed the atmosphere and food. The weather wasn't great and the downstairs bar was full, so they took us and some other guests upstairs. Much to my surprise, there's a ton of dining space up above! Service was friendly and prices were good, and I'd love to come pack to sit on the patio during a nicer day. Nothing fancy, but cozy and cute and a good menu - my type of bar. read more

Nice snack bar/ restaurant. Family friendly, and has a very cute upstairs as well. Our small plates were tasty, and the full meals looked nice too. I got the rye bread with raw pork, which is a regional thing. It's better than you think! Give it a whirl. A wonderful spot if you're wandering about Würzburg. read more

Nice terrace to have a drink, I was here on a sunny afternoon. The wine is good, however the waitress was rude! When I went to the restroom I heard her complaining to another worker about how many Americans were bothering her today. I do speak German, so I could understand. I told her, if those Americans where not here, your terrace would be empty.... I did not leave a tip! read more

Lovely Urig German-food Kneipe. The menu fits on four pages. One schnitzel on offer, weiswurste, Brezen, nice salads, Baked potatos with various toppings. Basically the world is in ordnung in this simple, Bavarian beer-joint. Prices very reasonable, great location, rustic decor. Perfect little joint in Franconia. read more

We stopped in for a glass of wine at the end of a long day and the staff found a seat for us even without a reservation. The service was great and the food looked good, so we returned the next evening for dinner. The atmosphere is friendly and comfortable, excellent schnitzel and an all-around great experience. This seems to be a popular place, so best to call ahead for a reservation. I see a lot of negative reviews here, but I've lived in Franconia for five years and thought food, service and atmosphere were excellent. read more
