We had Ron come out and quote us for the following Outdoor…read morewindow/door trims Basements throughout our whole home Basement bathroom (walls, trim and roof) High ceiling walls where our stairs are. We've had nothing but grief with Ron. The way he has spoken to me, the way he has treated our home is beyond heart breaking. We have been redoing our home and the things we asked Ron to do are the last thing that needed to be done, expect a few things, I planned on finishing myself. I have done all the painting myself. I now have to scrub paint off all our floors throughout our whole home, brand new tub, brand new toilet and all the other brand new items within our bathroom. I also have to repaint our stair railing as it was once black and it is now marble because Ron did not take the time to cover things up and rushed everything. In our stair way, I did not plan on painting the trim, I now have to because he managed to get the wall paint rolled onto all the lips of the trim. Which he told me "you'll have to paint the trim the same colour" I asked Ron not to paint the bottom part of the stairs as I had mudded a few spots, he went ahead, paint that part and did not bother to tell me nor sand that down. I now have to fix that to. Outside, we cut Ron some slack as the wood on the trim is a bit older but he managed to get paint all over our siding and on our windows. In a closet upstairs, Ron did not bother to move a box nor my wedding dress and painted dead centre between them. Resulting getting paint on my wedding dress. When I had showed Ron this, he did not seem to care. Whenever I showed Ron any of my concerns I would get the following response 1. Wow you are really looking 2. I have never had some complain so much 3. I do not see what you are talking about, there is nothing wrong. It's the paint or it's not dry enough yet (all paint was dry) 4. He would half laugh at me, shake his head and walk away from me. Not allowing me to voice my concerns with our home. 5. When my husband was home or on the phone, the way he spoke to me was completely different. 6. I did fix that already. When in fact he had not fixed any of the spots I had showed him prior. Which is another reason we did not want him to return and I have decided to do it myself. Wednesday we felt the only way we could have Ron leave our home, after trying to explain to him for 45 minutes our concerns we felt we had to pay him so we would leave. Once he had the money, we felt he was extremely pushing towards us about coming back, wanting to "fix" everything. When we explained we did not want him returning as I now I have to clean up his mess and repaint basically everything he has touched and fix things I have done prior. So, to have him leave we agreed. He then continued to work on our stairs, so I hid in my bedroom until he left. I had messaged Ron Thursday with a few pictures and videos regarding our concerns and letting him know we did not want him returning the following week. Since then I have spent 6hrs cleaning paint off our floors upstairs alone and 3 days repainting the baseboards upstairs while still taking care of our children. Today, I started cleaning downstairs and found even more concerns regarding Ron's work. Upstairs, Ron had sanded the baseboards but did not bother to clean up the dust before he painted. Instead told me "when the paint dries, take wet rags and clean the dust up" When I had contacted Ron in regarding not returning, he left me on read. I called him and he told me the photos I sent him were not bad. When I explained that I have more photos and videos of his work. All we're asking is for him to keep his deposit and return the rest we had given him as I know have to buy more items including paint, rollers etc in order to fix everything. I explained if he is unable to meet us half way, we will have to take legal action in response I was told "I have enough people to defend me, knowing the amazing work I do. Or "the evidence you have will not hold up" or "he'll gladly see us in court" I had a 3rd party with me during this phone call and they were able to hear everything he was saying. Anytime, I would try to explain myself he would cut me off telling me we "fired him and won't let him back in the home to fix anything" I do not want Ron to return to our home to "fix" anything as when he was in our home, we tried to give him the opportunity to do so. However, every spot I have looked at has to be retouched and cleaned. There have been more problems within our home that Ron has caused and he is unwilling to take accountability for his actions and refund us our money back in order to help us fix his mistakes. In conclusion, this is only part of the problems we have ran into with Ron. We're beyond heart broken regarding the condition Ron has left our home. I hope no one else has to ever experience this with Ron's painting. As this is devastating to have to encounter
