A "Full service company" that cannot be reached. This company is a slum lords dream come true. If you are a tenant as I am you too can experience a total lack of assistance when you need it most. The owner of the property that I reside in had his minion through me out of his office which is his primary business for trying to ask who we are supposed to pay our rent to,because his primary business cannot ever be said in the same sentence. I had my stove explode on me (I was lucky enough to be right there) and their idea of a replacement stove was a used stove built in 1995 and hadn't been cleaned since then. They have the largest selection of places by far and they are incredibly flexible when it comes to showing you available units (I viewed a few in a rush on a Saturday). I have rented 3 different places from Sterling over the last seven years. Minor maintenance issues have arose over the years, such as leaking faucet or a fridge repair issue. When I have had a maintenance issue I was able to email Sterling regarding the problem and had someone out the same or the very next day. In my experience I have found Sterling to be incredibly helpful with move-in and move-out. The building they manage is riddled with problems and they ILLEGALLY capped vents in suites around the property, which forces the poisonous methane gas into other units. Though they keep sending a pressure washer with some oilfield idiots to push more pressure into a system that is already unable to cope. I am seriously concerned for my health and the health of those around me and have made it ABUNDANTLY clear to their management. Yet NOTHING has been done and I keep breathing methane. I rented from them for 5 months. One month our place as flooded from heavy rainfall. They showed up 5 days later and it was already moulding at this point. I immediately moved my family into a safe clean home. I gave the PM written notice we had left. They came after me for 3 months rent saying I didn't give them notice. I paid instead of going to Court, I wished I had paid the legal fees over paying these people a dollar more than they were legally entitled too. After filling out the online application, giving the proper information and reference with a promise that they had a place to rent for us. They are ripping of people, staff at the office very rude and lies too much please please do not deal with them. They will never refund your full deposit at the end of your stay they have so many excuse. This company is money making machine by ripping off people. A friend of mine rent Apartment from them and when he left he clean the Apartment but they still deduct half deposit for no reason and when we ask for reason they show us some other apartment picture which was not clean, i surprise cuz i always trust white people but this is my worst experience. i will never deal with sterling Management anymore. and please take my advise do not rent from them. read more
